It's highly amusing that 2 of Sky's "experts" who are only too happy to analyse and give expert opinions on tactics have both tried their hand at management and had it fail dismally.

I think they both made the mistake of going to big clubs that were in difficult situations. Why is it former players think they can waltz into the big jobs and perform?

Ill add that communication is so important and it wouldn't surprise me if they both overlooked this

Do you know how bad of a coach you have to be for the owners to even consider, let alone actually re-hire the coach they fired you for?

Neville and Henry proving to be great adverts for Sky as experts.

So dim Tim and his ludicrous salutes and his outright horrendous gilets, has a better management record than Va-va-:poop: and the Breville man?

:ROFLMAO:

In fact, so does Christian Gross.

So Henry sacked now theres a surprise and it just goes to prove that those that can manage those that can't go into punditry.
I used to wind myself up with the ill informed rubbish spouted by the pundits pre match but now I just don't listen to pre match or post match comments by pundits as I only switch on to watch the match .
It does make it less stressful and you only have to put up with banal ill informed match commentators who can't help but give themselves away as to which side they want to win .
They just have a one eyed jacks view of things that betrays them and their views have no more validity than yours or mine.

Sounds like his arrogance and aloofness was out in full display. He doesn't have the humility to be a successful coach. The very first thing you need to do is get everyone on your side, then slowly figure out who isn't shifting their weight but use them to your advantage, you can't afford to banish players from the squad in that situation.

Poch gave the likes of Adebayor and Kabul about 6 months and enough rope to hang themselves, in the mean time he gained the trust of the rest of the squad. That incident of Henry 'death-staring' the player for not pushing the chair in was roundly applauded at the time but it can work both ways, if you've publicly shamed them before you've even got close to them you could lose them forever.

That's the trouble. People laugh at him but at the end of the day Sky are probably keeping his chair warm for him so he'll just waltz back into his job there presumably. As you say he's basically walked away with millions of quid for a couple of months work and will end up exactly where he left off so hasn't really lost anything.
