Confederations Cup starts tonight; Bernard to hack it up with six goals vs Japan? :(

Hopefully an anonymous sub-standard performance. Substituted after 60 mins, doesn't play in the tournament again and Levy negotiates a few million off his price.

a small injury to Bernard enough to last the tournament should get things going.
Not much ITK I take as a sign that we are keeping leaks out so expect a signing soon!

All the people moaning Cardozo last night why? The guy has always scored goals. Fair enough he has bin at Benfica a while but has scored against somebig teams in CL. At the end of the day all we need is someone to score goals Cardozo will do that. Not saying he is the best option for us just people saying he isn't good enough because he is slow obviously haven't seen the rest of his game. Berbatov was slow

I would love it IF Baldini is already outs and he is going to the Confed cup to watch Bernard. Then IF he can bring Bernard back with him then that would be sweeeeeet! Especially if he brings back Paulinho and LD 2!!! *just wakes up drooling after great dream*

Really we don't need Cardoza, lots of players score goals in minor leagues, some will score them in major leagues too but for me Cardozo just doesn't look like one of them. He is slow, his reactions are slow and he misses plenty even if he does score a decent tally. He won't get the time hew needs in the PL and he'll still miss loads, I just don't see him getting anything like the goals he does in the Portugese league. No doubt he would score a few goals but that isn't what we need at all

The Jason Burt article that was quoted from the Telegraph in yesterday's thread was very interesting IMO. It was the first time that someone had categorically said that either Bernard or Paulinho had buy-out clauses. This is the sort of deal Levy likes (see Dembele) as he knows it won't become a bidding war between other clubs or that the club he is negotiating with will keep moving the goalposts (see Damiao).

Hopefully Burt was spot on. I think we'd need to conclude both deals asap - especially if the suggestion PSG have now shown an interest in Paulinho are true

Not put in the RO as i'm not sure it's verified but....

The head chef at the school I work at is the father of one Harry Barker (young defender who has come through Norwich's academy.

He is good friends with several of the board members.

anyhow, he mentioned to me just now that Hughton wants Naughton and Livermore. would also be interested in Defoe but reckons he'll be too expensive.

As ever take with a pinch/teaspoon/bucket of salt to taste, but seems very plausible to me and I have no reason to doubt the fella. he's a crap chef though

I just have a wrenching feeling in the depths of my bowels that we aren't going to end up with any Brazilians, but perhaps a hemorrhoid instead.

He'd better, otherwise you KNOW that, as soon as the final whistle blows, this place will be full of "WTF is the fuss about, he's fucking shit & we'd be wasting our money, should've kept Bentley"

I'm just worried that we've been fucking idiots and waiting for the Confederations Cup to finish will see us lose Paulinho and Bernard. Additionally I'd love to be able the watch the games and concentrate on their performances, knowing that we had them. Doing this with Modric in 2008 gave the tournament a whole new interest seeing as England weren't in it.
