I don’t think Southgate deserves to lose his job but I couldn’t agree more with the comment relating to how he utilises Kane.

I’m a striker and I’d be sick of receiving the ball in the final third once every three matches.

I’m not saying he deserves to go at all by the way, I just get the feeling we might get outhustled early doors in what will essentially be a home tournament next summer and he’ll get the sack.

I understand the Sterling thing, although he doesn’t pick the type of player that actually gets the best out of Sterling at City, but what I don’t get is the Lingard thing. He’s atrocious and simply has no idea how to play with Kane. He hinders Harry and for that reason alone I’d leave Lingard out the squad entirely

He played well for 90 minutes against the Dutch. I’d much rather see him in a midfield than any of Dier, Delph or Rice.
I thought he was atrocious against Holland. Just goes to show how people can look at the same game and see it differently. Hence the bickering we always get :D

I thought he was abysmal, and I actually think he uses the ball slower then all of those you mention.

One thing that has occurred to me watching this, we don’t make enough use from Dele’s ability to arrack a deep cross.

This referee has to be one of the worst I've ever seen. When the ref is contributing to the match as a spectacle (in a negative way) it's never a good thing.
Stopping the game unnecessarily and giving fouls for any contact. I assume this is how he refs every game?

I don't know why people (both fans and media) are so determined to draw conclusions from these two matches.

There's been a combination of players having weeks off already to hit the beach, and others coming straight off a CL final. Clearly they have struggled to get up for it. There's been little focus, energy, sharpness, sporadic quality, and many mistakes occurring all over the pitch and not executing properly at crucial moments.

Then off the pitch you add the impression that the management aren't taking it ultra seriously and going win at all costs. The CL players could have started, but we chose not to, and a few players who are injury risks/doubts they've played safe with and others like Kane have had their minutes managed.

And that goes for all teams, from what I have watched so far. Maybe the final tonight might be different but it's not been a great spectacle across the board really.

England have had the better chances here and should be up, they might ultimately nick the result/might not, but it's pointless evaluating much on the last few days.

It was embarrassing when he stopped the game for a guy getting winded. He called the physios on like it was a severe head injury

one thing i am finally glad of. is that walker got sold. This game has crystallized for me just how much he gives the ball away.

What was the point of that man on the line. He just stood there not even bothered where the ball went.

Sterling shouldn't take a pen, no way he's scoring today. Great FK, very unlucky.
