I saw Troy Parrott today playing for the Ireland U16 team in Westport where I live. They are hosting a Uefa under 16 tournament. He came on as a sub with about 15 minutes to go an scored a nice goal from just outside the box. Turned out to be the winner.

Looked for a thread on this guy and cannot find anything.

Anyone any news on the kid, he was supposed to be a potential superstar.

Still very young 16 now I think. He’s definitely with us. Seen a few clips. I’ve a feeling he will be a traditional no 9 much like Kane. But the youth experts will know much more.

Considering Kane made quite a few appearances for us after not impressing on many loan spells we’ll be lucky to see anything from this lad for years, if ever. But very happy to be proved wrong.

From an Irish guy on twitter:

From what I understand he cannot formally train with the team until he's 16 but yes he's agreed to join Spurs. I have only seen him play two full matches. Hes a big striker who plays sort of as a false 9. Ireland's youth squads revolve around him

People call him the next Robbie Keane but not sure I see the technicality. I'm also not a football scout by any means. I see a big kid who can score and has good vision but I don't have experience to know how it translates. People speak very highly of him.

Not sure why but I’ve got a massive feeling this kid will be kane 2.0 . I’m usually right on this shit. You don’t see many kids that look like Obvious number 9s. This kid does.
Kane 3.0, more like. Kane 2.0 is clearly Josh "Screw CM, I'm A Natural Number 9" Onomah.

You of all people should have spotted this.

Agree with a lot of that, plays no.10 false 9 in bits I've seen. All of Ireland's play revolve around him and Okoflex. He doesn't remind me of Keane at all, he's quite tall and well-built. Has ability will try something different and has a good shot on him. Reminds me more of a Ibra type than Keane
