I've not seen anything from Shapovalov that's convinced me that he's going to reach the top echelons of the sport yet.
Would love it if Kyrgios could knock out Nadal, whatever your thoughts on him, his matches are never dull.

I think Kyrgios is the only one left in the draw who has it in him to beat more than one of the big 3 in the same tournament, and he's done it before. If Nadal comes through that match it's difficult to see past Rafa v Rog and Djokovic v S.O.Else in the semis.

On the Kyrgios side I personally think he doesn’t have the game to compete with the top players in slams. Has the occasional flash in the pan but can’t produce it when needed or with any consistency.

People always say he has natural talent but I just see him as a poor mans Monfils (who had more talent and more heart than Kyrgios has ever displayed).

Would much rather watch Monfils, Tsonga, Del Potro, etc... never too sure where the love for Kyrgios comes from as results never back up the hype

Hmm. Complaints about the umpire, and about Rafa not playing to his speed, and taking too long between 1st & 2nd serves, and an underarm service ace ...

And Rafa wins the set 6-3

I think he should concentrate on playing the tennis of which he is capable.

The Wimbledon crowd have got to be the worst. Middle class, floppy hat wearing gnawfers Who think someone sneezing or a pigeon flying into the grass is the funniest thing. The worst thing is the majority probably only watch tennis two weeks a year

It’s a good day out tbf, even waiting in the queue in the morning especially if it’s nice weather, like you say few beers a bit of sun. I normally go every year but always to the outside courts which to be fair are ok. The show court crowd make me cringe.

Since Kyrgios stopped chuntering this has become a bloody good match.

Even with Rafa 2-1 up I wouldn't like to call it.

I don't think he has the game to compete at the top currently, but we're watching a Kyrgios who clearly doesn't give a shit as much as he should or could. Personally I can see the potential, I think if he put in as much effort and showed as much professionalism towards the sport as players like Monfils and Tsonga he would be top 5. Monfils actually frustrates the hell out of me, so much talent but has never really greatly excelled in any of his career, at least as far as my memory serves. I really rate Del Potro and love his game but he's just plagued with injuries unfortunately.

I've just come to the conclusion that Kyrgios just really doesn't care that much. I like him for the fact that he makes me want to watch him, I think just his nature made the match today for example even more interesting, yet in fairness to counteract that, he could gather that same interest just by simply dedicating himself more and performing to his potential.
