It's not the player sales we need to worry about its Pochs position that really scares me.
If he goes were in real trouble.
Next summer Poch could be the Man Utd coach and both Manc clubs could turn the EPL into 2 horse division.

JJ says Poch is fine, no issues...

But Herc says Poch isn’t happy, and ValenciaYid backs it up with saying Poch and Levy weren’t even fucking talking last week!?

What the fuck is going on, I’m so confused.
Mate, perhaps some of our ITKs (or their contacts) are employed by the Club,(they may even be part of the PR department) and as such they have to "promote the party line"? I get the sense that others are "ordinary" fans who can speak from the heart and aren't "whipped" into spinning the PR press release. So perhaps there's an inevitable discrepancy between the truth and what the Club wants us to believe.

I don’t care if you need my condolences, you have then, you have my pity and you have my remorse. I would hate to have such a pessimistic mindset, that would have held me back in everything I’ve done in my life and amplified my failures. As for ‘when I grow up’, thankfully my ability to look beyond the end of my angry little shnoz is symptomatic of having ‘grown up’. You, however, are behaving as I might have as a hormonal teenager some two decades ago.

Like I said I am extremely happy with my life. I am extremely happy that I don't settle for shit in life and always look to push to do more and achieve more. That is different from being a pessimist. Check it out, google it you'll find a lot of articles on the web. Understand the difference before you come on here and start belittling people who think differently to you. It's a forum, shit happens, people have different opinions.

I like reading how our business is affected by the cost of us building a stadium went up to £1bn, when in fact that £1bn includes those apartments and the hotel etc. Makes me feel great that possible frugality is in essence due to us paying to build something that has nothing to do with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

It supports their narrative and they think we are stupid.

Edit: interesting that Woodward, at the worlds richest club, also thought there was little value in the market. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...united-veto-jose-mourinho-wishlist-cash-fears

NOTE the comment near the end about Everton spending on Mina’s agent fees that even Man Utd baulked at. Man Utd are worried about the distorting effect of agents fees and it is hard to believe they are anything but parasitic. I’m glad some clubs are taking a stand ..[/QUOTE]

The same United that spent £35m on a player with 6 months left on his contract paying him £500k per week and the same United that paid £41m in agent fees for the Pogba transfer?

When I posted the above I hadn’t seen the quotes that broke this evening.

Poch:

"What the club is doing is showing it is so brave," he offered. "Building a new training ground, finishing this summer the (player's) lodge was a massive investment.
"Building a stadium that is nearly £1bn. That is true, don't believe in £400m, that is the truth. Then with Brexit it's worse because the cost is 30 per cent more. That is a drama, I feel sorry for the English people.
"For me [that] is to be brave. Of course maybe in the mind of everyone they will say, 'Oh Tottenham didn't sign', but to sign for the sake of signing?
Yeah I think you conveniently missed these Poch quotes as well mate: "We cannot think we are the cleverest people in the world winning trophies spending small money", said Pochetinno.

Its been pointed out before but JJ hasnt hesitated to vent about Levy before mate, and with conflicting info like that, they both cant be right...as ever we'll all be swayed by our own personal narrative and preconceptions.

Didn't realise that by supporting this club and the players we currently have, you were settling for shit. My mistake, as you were(y)

I definitely don't struggle to believe, given your suggestion, that most of what you know is based on google searches though ;)

This is a post typical of the type of smugness, arrogance, and superior attitude displayed by so many of the Levy Fanboys this window. They were so quick to mock or sneer at anyone who dared to question Levy's transfer policy, and even quicker still to deride, demean or belittle anyone who expressed concerns as to whether Poch truly would be backed in this Summer's transfer market.
Well this comment has well and truly come back to bite you on the ass hasn't it?! Perhaps best to save your crass put-downs for the end of the window, when at least you'll know the outcomes.
Let's hope that in future windows, supporters' genuine concerns won't be so readily and churlishly dismissed.

I can understand supporters being frustrated and disappointed with the transfer window but the level of abuse directed at Levy by a significant number of posters was incredibly childish and unnecessary.

I think Utd’s stance also suggests they’re prepared to lose Mourinho if necessary. Not bringing in another CB and refusing to sell Martial is playing the long game

Hey Mauricio, we won't sell Anthony to Levy for the 12 pack of Monster Munch he offered but you could come and work with him over here.

We were happy to accept the bid though, as we would no doubt have done with Toby if they stumped up enough cash.

Yeah but they were both players we deemed surplus pre window for varying reasons. It's very different to the way Arsenal kept losing their best players every single season despite Wenger saying they would not be sold..

My genuine nightmare scenario. It reeks of the tragic irony that comes with supporting this brilliantly mad club in the Levy era

I was thinking about how if he didn't repair his relationship with Alder it would have been awkward if he was offered the united job. Hopefully it remains only a nightmare scenario.

Yes, and if we can/have secured Eriksen and Alli to new contracts, we are basically showing our teeth to the wolves

The sad thing about this window is not that we bought nobody it's that we bought nobody when, with our new stadium, we all thought we were about to take off and bring in some quality, our expectations were sky high and that's what makes it worse; from the sublime to the gord blimey as my nan used to say.
A top performance from Lamella and Moura on Sunday will go a long way to easing the grieving process I reckon.
