I love the way you spin things. Fair play that you’ve somehow managed to put a negative spin on Liverpool’s window to defend Levy.

There's no way that liverpools window should be seen as negative for taking a risk, remember the words plastered all over our stadium(s) "To Dare is to Do"

+ stated Mourinho may be off by Christmas, as if that's somehow a good thing. Like they're not going to throw the kitchen sink at getting Poch, with guarantees of money to spend and the guidance of Sir Alex in the board room.

Unbelievable really. Those rose tinted glasses must be special.

Not that I haven't been telling Liverpool fans Klopp is a hypocrite and saying he'll have to deliver a big trophy to make myself feel better mind you.

They are the champions of the transfer window and I salute them. At least they have shown ambition.

Yeah, I don't buy any of the Kepa will struggle with premier league crosses™ either. I never said the same for LLoris so I'd be being bias if I felt that towards Chelsea and Pools keepers.

I’m not sure what I’ve spun with regard to Liverpool, all I’ve done is point to cold hard fact that making loads of signings, even perceived high quality signings, can quite easily blow up in your face. I’ve given the best anecdote possible for that because I’ve pointed out a situation that should resonate with everybody here. It’s not a defence of levy, in this thread alone I’ve stated numerous times that this window is disappointing and he’s messed up, I’m merely highlighting the follies of looking at Liverpool and being jealous. If your memory is that bad, or your head is that deep in the sand, then please accept my condolences as that must be a truly distressing existence for you.

What planet are you living on where you compere the Lloris we signed, champions league experienced, multiple titles and French captain, to a kid who has two seasons top flight football under his belt with that league’s equivalent of Everton and 1 international cap. A far better comparison would be De Gea, who came with a similar reputation and similar level of experience (though still with a much higher expectation club). He is amazing now, for 18 months he was nervous and error prone and Utd wanted rid.

Lloris had won 1 title before joining us, his experience as a captain would have nothing to do with dealing with the premiership, De Gea struggled but literally so many keepers coming from abroad have not struggled with the prem whatsoever, Courtois came in at a similar age and did fine, look at Ederson last year. I think we are clutching at straws if we're saying Chelsea will struggle because Kepa is new to the prem, I hope he does though.

No Rose tinted glasses, I’ve many times no said this window went badly and that levy did a bad job, I just have a little something which you clearly don’t... perspective, I have the ability to look at multiple similar situations from the past and use them to make a justifiable, even if ultimately wrong, assessment of the current situation. You and the others are just hell bent on rage and wallowing because you didn’t get a shiny new toy, and are making the situation out to be hundreds of times worse than it actually is. I really don’t know how any of you function in your day to day lives if you are this prone to overreaction and hyperbole!

The irony of your post being that people with a different opinion to you, you dismiss as raging and crybabies which is hyperbole in itself.

I was considering the team for Newcastle.

Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Davies, Dier, Moura, Eriksen, Son, Kane

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Rose, Dembele, Alli, N'Koudou, Llorente

With Lamela, Winks, Wanyama, Janssen left out plus the kids.

It's a pretty serious team still if they all want to play for us and return to full fitness. You forget what we have until it's in front of you.
I'm not worried unless we lose some before the European window closes or injuries creep in and actually as shit as it is we haven't managed to strength on the players in Bold, it's not a disaster!

Fucking good point! It's incredibly hard to believe just how short-sighted Levy is being. I just hope that enough of a fuss has been kicked up to make him seriously think about releasing the purse strings for players in January - it might be his last chance to stop the rot - but I appreciate that's "optimistic".

Just look at Athletico Madrid transfer operations vs Spurs.... that’s how a top 3 club operates in the transfer window. Levy is still stuck in 5 season ago. Utterly shit window, can’t even pull of Grealish says so much about Spurs. Disgraceful.

Courtois has two year’s champions league experience with Atlético Madrid when Chelsea started playing him, don’t be so fucking revisionist,, while ederson barely had to touch the ball all season because of how much possession city had. Do you know which side conceded the fewest shits? Manchester City. Remember Bravo the year before? He was a joke when City were open and conceding loads of shots. However, at Barca when he barely had to do anything he was the bollocks.

Yes, Lloris has 1 title? That’s 1 more than Kepa. And how does captaining one of the top footballing nations have nothing to do with it? At 24 no less. That speaks volumes for his maturity to handle adversity. There’s no guarantee to what I say about Kepa, but it’s highly likely.

I don’t have rose tinted glasses, you lot have shit tinted glasses! Careful, pink eye hurts I hear!

Pal, I don't need your condolences, I'm extremely happy with my life and memory. God, I even remember the years of Christian Gross. In a few years when you grow up and experience more of life you will soon see how rosy those rose tinted glasses really were.

The only way Poch would not be envious of Liverpool's window is if he was not a winner. They have gone out and shown great ambition and as a consequence made life more difficult for themselves as it will raise expectations. Hats off to them.

I don’t dismiss their opinion because (though I worry about your ability to read given how many times I’ve had to repeat this), sigh, as already stated I agree with them and you, the window has been poor and levy got it wrong. However, the way it’s delivered by you lot is ridiculous. @Archibald&Crooks on page 1 was spot on in his delivery, as have been a few others like @doctor stefan Freud . But the rest of you are not behaving with any logic or reason whatsoever, you’re being myopic and you’re letting yourselves down.

After letting it all cool off, I’m not so much angry as I am dissapointed. The whole thing is really interesting, as it’s never been done before in football. Similarly, you rarely see teams remain the same in professional sports, year-to-year. The only dissapointment is that our squad wasn’t strong enough to compete with City for a title challenge last year, and barring some damn good development this year, and utlilizing the team’s unity, I don’t see it as good enough still. That said, I’m hoping we can still hold out on top 4. COYS.
