When does Marcus Edward's contract expire? He doesn't seem to be starting for Excelsior Rotterdam anymore. He was on the bench against Heracles but did come on in the 69th minute and provided the assist for Excelsior's 3rd goal in their 5-4 away win.

Interestingly, Excelsior replaced their manager in April with Ricardo Moniz, our former skills coach.

I don't know the answer but on the subject of Marcus, it must be so, so tough to be lauded that young. It must do things to your head. The fact is outstanding technical ability as a kid is no indicator of future success. Football is replete with stories of wonder kids who just hit a ceiling and not necessarily because of a lack of professionalism or dedication. Development is not always straight forward. It was never a given that Marcus' development would keep pace and the truth is it hasn't. He's plateaued and at a level that is considerably below where we all hoped. We're mistakes made by the club? Yes but a player has to be able to survive that. Setbacks happen.

Marcus still has a little time to kick on but he probably isn't going to be an elite level player. No ones fault. It just goes that way some times.

If Edwards is to go out on loan again, we should try to make Vitesse happen. Same league he's begun in. They built their team first on Mount on loan and this season Ødegaard. So they're likely to look for replacement and are open to give a loanee key role in the team

Vitesse have a special relationship with Chelsea. I don't think they will loan our players.

They are still about themselves and open to loan from other clubs as well. But yes, Chelsea could be petty and step between. Don't know if Chelsea would care that much or not.

This is an article from my local Norwegian newspaper and his club Bryne:
https://www.aftenbladet.no/100Sport...a-skal-han-trene-med-storklubben-258365b.html
http://www.brynefk.no/nyheter/solberg

It says he's travelling over on monday to train and play a match. Spurs discovered him on a Norwegian U15 national team camp earlier this year. He turned 15 last month, 190cm and has 2 matches for Norway U15 and got his debut for Bryne 2 in Norwegian 4th division at the age of 14 this year.

This player has now signed for Spurs according to norwegian media today.

Bit weird. That's 3 keepers in this age group and 4 in the u18s in total. The two lads in the next age group down also look very capable.

Some more ex-spurs news...

Apparently Arsenal right back Bayli Spencer-Adams hasn't opted to sign the one year professional contract he was offered and is likely to leave on a free.

Apparently Crystal Palace striker Brandon Aveiro aka Brandon Young-Chambers has been offered a professional contract.

QPR midfielder Nathan Orafu has also been offered a professional contract (unconfirmed).

Norwich attacking midfielder Anis Mehmeti signed a one year professional contract recently, I believe.

Jack Munns has been released by Dagenham & Redbridge.

Winger Sean Shields has been transfer listed at Ebbsfleet along with every other contracted player.

I believe winger George Brown has been released by Colchester.

Veteran winger Mark Yeates has been offered another year at Eastleigh.

Ruben Lameiras has been offered a new deal by Plymouth.

Ipswich have all but confirmed that Simon Dawkins will be released and question marks are hanging over midfielder Grant Ward following their relegation.

Current part-time Spurs academy coach Stuart Lewis has been released by Dover.

Fullback Jack Barthram has been transfer listed at Barrow.

Forward Kudus Oyenuga and Fullback Matt Young have been released by Chelmsford.

Unsuccessful trialist Caolan Lavery has been released by promoted Sheff Utd.

Striker Gary Hooper has been released by Sheff Wed.

Lots of clubs still haven't released their retained lists so there will still be plenty of ex-Spurs on the move over the coming weeks.

6 foot 2 at 15 years of age yikes! what a monster!, but then I am a fan of big keepers. - certainly not everything but it does give them an edge in certain situations.

I feel exactly the same, this kid will probably be 6ft 9in by the time he is 21. He is definitely one for the future, I'll certainly be keeping an eye on him for the next few years. Really hope he makes it.

If he's that tall, he'll let in all grounders.

Its a fallacy that tall goalkeepers concede more low shows. Being taller usually means longer arms too and if a goalkeeper is in a crouching position their hands are likely to be as far from the ground as a shorter keeper with shorter arms.

Has anyone seen much of Ellis Simms at Everton? Seems to have crushed it this year in terms of goals scored (32 in u18 league, 44 in 29 in all comps). I just comment because we seem to have a real lack of strikers coming through in recent years bar Parrott.

not seen him myself but from what i've read he's one who relies a lot on his physicality, obviously he must be half decent in other areas as well though. to be fair we had reo last season who put up similar numbers before he left for lyon, harrison had a pretty decent record at u18 level as well.

Pedant alert!

It's a misconception, not a fallacy. :geek:

Any news on Roles? Did he get a contract?
Not sure but looking at youth hawk twitter account he should be . He finished joint 5th top goal scorer out of every team in the PL2 Division 1. He also finished joint 3rd top scorer at U18s for the south when he was an U18.
