did BLF not have a good game? is being very hard on himself here:

though i guess it shows he has the right mentality.

No he was not at his best, very sloppy with his passing and made a few bad pass backs to the keeper,But he was not alone in having a bad game and I also think Matt Wells was a bit slow in not making changes that was needed to be made around the 60min mark.

Bad day at the Office for sure.

No, he was really poor, if I didn't know anything about the players before tonight I wouldn't have put him down as one who had much chance with us but I'm sure It was just an off day.

Good summary mate.. Thanks again for the ticket.

Cirkin looks the real deal and only 16.

I hope the Parrott hype train calms down and he's given time to progress normally as he's still miles away from first team football.

Having never seen him, can you compare Cirkin to a left back of similar style? Is he similar to a Davies style of LB (good defensively, steady eddie) or is he more of a marauding left back (Chilwell/Rose). It will save us a huge amount of money if we can bring through a LB prospect. Also, how far away from the first team is he in terms of physicality?

Funny was gonna ask exactly same about his style. I know he’s highly rated read quite a bit about him but think physically he’s quite a way still just 16. He looks average build like he’ll be about 5ft 10 which is fine for a full back. But currently definitely still looks like a boy.

highlights from last night - https://player.arsenal.com/video/fa-youth-cup-tottenham-hotspur-h-highlights

not sure how the hell that's a penalty but apparently we got away with one earlier in the game so i guess it evened itself out.

anyway, i'm now off to the u23s, will be interesting to see if any of the regulars aren't there.
Hopefully no Jack Roles for the u23.

Can you let me know how Bilal Kamal plays,he was a player I liked a few years back he was a Midfielder but he is now playing as a CB for Norwich?

West Ham just gave diangana a 6.5 year contract. He’s 20 and played for them about 10 times that’s weirdly long contract for a young unproven player yeah ? We gave Skipp 3 years.

He is very far away from the first team but so are a lot of the u18s, he is a very good all round player who gets up and down the pitch very well,he is Strong and is not small for his age and he is what you would call a Strong runner and out of the players you have given he is maybe more like Chilwell than the others but let's see how he develops he is starting to play very well.

I noticed on Sky earlier, Jaden Brown has gone to Exeter on loan, from Huddersfield.
Hadn’t realised he’d gone there. Must’ve missed that.

Just watched Edwards 1st half ( well last 30 mins) still has some lovely touches and couple of nice runs. But he does get brushed off very easily. Made me wonder what he’d be like if he really bulked up. Almost like a shaqiri or Ryan Fraser. Seems to benefit the really small players that are dribblers even to a degree Maradonna.

It depends on the body type. For instance, Defoe said that he really added some muscle one summer and found that it made him slower and less nimble. Shaqiri is naturally pigeon-chested and carries the weight fairly easily.

Perhaps an aversion to the gym is one of the things that’s holding Edward back, though. It’s probably one of many things.

won't do a big write-up but it was a good performance by the u23s earlier, despite the 2-2 score line. don't think there was any standout performer but everyone was at least decent.

we played a 4141 with marsh sitting, tracey-tob-roles-georgiou in front and janssen up top. first goal was a nice one-two with janssen putting tob through on goal who slotted coolly past the keeper, tob had some good moments throughout but i still want him to do more, he goes through long spells during a game where you hardly notice him but today was a positive step. roles' goal was similar with him playing it into janssen who held off the defender, played it back into roles who ran off his marker and beat the keeper at his near post. roles was involved in a lot of nice intricate play around the area, he'd uncharacteristically missed a couple of good chances but a bit like kane he doesn't let it get to him and he makes sure he's there for the next one. i can only think that poch just doesn't think he's there physically yet as the rest of his game surely merits some involvement. a year or so ago i said roles is gangly and whilst he's put on a bit of bulk since then he does still look similar to how kane did before he became the beast he is now, i'm sure he's working on it but it might take some time.

georgiou looked like a budget bale in his early days, i mean that in a good way. his game is very simple in that he draws the defender in, knocks it by him and races down the outside, he put in a few dangerous crosses but norwich dealt with them. janssen was strong and worked hard but might've done better with a couple of efforts. hinds and tanganga at the back were very composed. eyoma was solid bar one slip in the 2nd half. austin made one really good save, unfortunately he got clattered into late on for their goal. i'm not sure exactly what happened but he was stretchered off and went straight to hospital, there was 14 minutes injury time so that will give you some idea as to how serious it was, i just hope he's ok. tainio went in goal as we'd already made three subs and he made two really good saves funnily enough.

oh and for @edson, i'd seen kimal a couple of times before and he'd caught my eye too but today he didn't have the best of games. he was at right back and struggled against georgiou's pace.
