Unfortunately I can only see Sterling going the same way as Coulthirst and Obika. All decent, all very hard workers, all have a great attitude and by all accounts have excellent professionalism but in all cases they don't have express pace, aren't "natural" finishers and don't really handle a ball well enough to be effective linking strikers (Obika could at least fall back on his size). Its frustrating because all of them are the kind of players that you really want to make it but I think Sterling will end up knocking around League 1 & 2.
I used to think that. But I think Stirling has really improved recently and is technically very underrated. Odds are he wont make it here, but I think he has a much better shout at it than Couthirst and Obika ever did.
I think Sterling, has shown more than those 2 at the younger age but struggled a bit in his first year

We are delighted to announce that Scott Parker has returned to the Club as our new U18 Coach & Club Ambassador - http://spurs.to/ParkerReturn
I hope he has a good philosophy on football and not just a harry redknapp style
Sounds like a really good move to me.

Reckon that's advantage us with Sessegnon in the coming years too?
TBH I think Liverpool have the advantage, they are now allowed to sign him, as up until his contract signing they were banned from looking at him

marcus' euro squad number is 14, so if you believe in the numbers theory then he won't be starting, not initially at least anyway.

I'm pretty sure he got most of his training under McDermott, so more than likely he's familiar with the Spurs way. I'm really excited for the younger CM's we have in the academy. Winks spoke highly of Parker and noted that Scott would take him to side and show him game tape and help him understand what he was doing and how to improve.

Not to mention that he was clearly a very driven thinker as a player and a 'student of the game.' He'll be an excellent role model and teacher.

If Edwards doesn't start for England U19s imo he's clearly not as good as he hyped to be,or there is some underlying flaw with his character or willingness to work for the team.

why? because one manager doesn't pick him? that's like saying dembele can't be that good then because wilmots and martinez have both preferred fellaini over him. marcus didn't start the first game at the u17 euros either but he came on and ended up scoring their only two goals in the competition and was named in the team of the tournament so maybe wait until you see him play before judging him?

Not sure if we will have an advantage, but it couldn't hurt. Sessegnon, "I am becoming a man, I am maturing day-by-day, the influence of being around men helps me and makes me be more professional. Everyone has helped me, but in particular Scott Parker, 100 per cent. What a person to be around, a great player and just a great human being."

Edwards' main problem is that he is English, and thus will spend his entire international career mismanaged by imbeciles.

I've seen him play numerous times and most times I'm impressed.Lets be honest he's probably the most hyped spurs kid of all time.An age group team is much less choice than a national senior team.if your saying there are 2 or 3 better than him at U19 then Imo he isn't the next "messi" and maybe people should lower their expectations.

Would be a mistake not to play Edwards of the England manager, though he has other great players too, really like the look of this team. Even if it could be stronger with Tom Davies, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece Oxford, Chris Willock etc.
Id have him from the right in a trio behind a striker. As said Mount will likely play, and I'd have Sessegnon on the left.

Bereton
Sessegnon - Mount - Edwards
Edun/Maddox - A.Dozzell
Jay Dasilva - T.Chalobah - Suliman - D.Sterling
Ramsdale

The back line four and attacking midfield trio are all exciting players

Let's be honest here, if people thiknk he's the next Messi then yes they should lower their expectations.
He's certainly the most talented in his age group for England, but it could be claimed that there are others that are more effective and ready than him at this age. Mount is one of those, while Sessegnon has proven himself at senior level.
Hopefully Edwards is fit and in form for this tournament, it's that which has held him back the last year or so - not attitude or lack of ability
