I have no doubt Ndombele is priority numero uno for this summer, as he should be. AWB should be priority numero dos.

@LFC, @juventusfc and @SpursOfficial found a contractual agreement with the representatives of Tanguy ndombele. Mauricio Pochettino made it his priority and directly expressed his interest to the player.

Presumably this now comes down to who can make the best offer to Lyon, and which of those three clubs the player feels he can be successful with.
If he cares about playing, then I'd say LFC and Juve cannot say with 100% certainty he'd be their main man in their midfield. Whereas I feel that we can make a much stronger case for him being the sorta player we'd build our midfield around.
If MC come into play and blow everyone out the water with both a mega offer to Lyon and a bumper wage package for the player, then there's not much we can do outside of relying on the player's desire to start week-in-week out. Something not even remotely guaranteed at City.
Granted this is all a pipe-dream. But it sure would be nice if we could pull it off.

The lord of light works in mysterious ways.

Holy sh*t, that will be the first useful thing Tripps has done in months. Hopefully, we are aware of Diawara and he is now on our radar because this sounds decent bit of business.

So we have actually matched what other clubs are offering?? Wow

We wont win a bidding war but we can win a seduction war. Before delusions kick in liverpool and Juventus are better options for him

Anybody seen much of Monaco this year? I'm wondering about Gelson Martins...he looked an incredible prospect at Sporting and in the event that Atletico aren't planning on keeping him (I don't know why they let him go on loan) is he worth a look? Haven't seen him play for a couple of years, but whenever I did see him he was one of those players that always made me think, yeah, I'd love to see you play for Spurs.

There was an article in Le10Sport which said he knew we were the best choice for him to get enough playing time to be called up for Euro 2020, so you're probably right.

Why do Liverpool want him? Liverpool aren't suited to his style and vice versa. We are, 100%.

Tanguy, if you're reading this, the Liverpudlians will steal your hubcaps! Don't do it!

Didn’t JJ say we’d pretty much agreed for Ndombele to join us last summer until Aulas screwed us with his valuation?

That at least tells us Ndombele had agreed to join us too.

If he wanted to join us last summer despite various clubs being interested, I can’t see why that would change now? We’re a hell of a lot more attractive now than we were 12 months earlier.

Btw, it's been "reported" - or rather rumoured - that Juve's also after Trippier (him and Sidibe) now. If that is true then there seem to be competition for him, which will drive up the price and I hope Levy plays his cards right.

Wtf. Should we be keeping him :bored:

Probably spending the future Eriksen fee, would love to be proved wrong. Watching them together would be amazing.

Who are the wunderkids on FM these days? I remember Ruben Neves and Luka Jovic being two must-buy youngsters a few years ago, and they've both turned out alright, so I am just going to blindly assume that we should be after any youngster with a Potential Ability of 170+ in this year's game.

Get on it, scouts.

Coming to terms with the player is usually the easy part. Coming to terms with the team is the part that Levy has issues with. Grealish is the latest example last year, when the player was desperate to come by all accounts, and then to try and save 5-10 mill, Levy lowballed Villa and ended up getting screwed. So I am not getting my hopes up about Ndombele (even though he would be perfect).
