In my opinion. The way pochettino is going about HIS transfer aspirations are if you don't get me decent replacements you will need to replace me. So it all boils down to the board and levy on what there gonna do it. Champions league is a must. We don't have the pulling power of United and arsenal whether we say we do or not. Everton game is massive on Sunday. We MUST win

Really? At what point has Poch ever shown any sign of wanting to leave?

There is really now no excuse for not going out and having a decent net spend. I believe it was something like 80-90 mill that Spurs made from this CL semi final run and now that CL is almost certainly guaranteed for next year, the money should be there, even with the stadium. Three straight windows of no spending as well. ITK has said the money was supposedly there last year, so again no excuse to not have a significant net spend that gets Poch players he wants.

Totally agree but the caveat is there being any Poch wants and we can get. Not just about the money/wages but also because there still are quite a few more prestigious teams than ours

Having watched the recent game of Leverkusen, I'd seriously try to get at least 2 of their players. They play the same way as us, and the last couple of players we bought from them proved to be a hit.
Brandt as Eriksen replacement
Tah for Toby
Alario as a backup striker

Sadly Havertz is out of our reach imo

Even Aranguiz would be a good signing

When do the transfer threads come out anyone? Is it usually when the season is finished and the window is open?

Eriksen and Alderweireld new contracts needed.

We have CL football and we're not that far off from winning the CL, one or two more quality additions.

Only way Eriksen signs is if we sign some half decent players.

I honestly think he wants to be here, and to win things with us. But if we aren't prepared to meet that ambition then I think he will head for the exit door.

He's quite rightly waiting to see what happens imo.

Been banging the Leverkusen drum since this thread started. Sadly I can’t see it happening though, we like to go after players that Barca and Madrid are interested in so we have an excuse not to pay the fee. Havertz is exactly the type of player a team that has qualified for CL for 4 years, reached the S/F, has a world class stadium and world record profits should be trying to buy.

Think Brandt needs to be the top choice for the Eriksen replacement. We should throw our hat in the ring and trigger his £21.5m clause on the very first day of the window. If he prefers another club, find out early and move onto other targets, but I think we'd be in with a shout.

That means nothing if we don't stump up the cash.
We won't pay over 60m for a player and we won't pay the wages that come with a signing like that

We've had previous about how decent Alario would be. I'm all in on the Brandt. Hell I don't care if CE leaves or not i prefer Brandt, a more rounded player and MFer and probably better for an team overhaul/newer younger direction. ***oh god, here come the torches and pitchforks for touching another sacred cow***

but unfortunately that game flip-flopped Leverkusen and Frankfurt for the CL-qualification place. They could perhaps still not qualify in the summer but it is unlikely anyone will leave this summer, save for Alario whose minutes are being gobbled up by Volland.
