Brooks is the only player we should sign from Bournemouth.

I liek him too but more of one for the future surely, Frazier has surprisingly the most assists in Europe, tied with Sancho.

Brooks is a player now. His stats are the same as Alli's pretty much, playing for a bottom half team. The lad has more intelligence in his play then Dele.

Not gunna waste time suggesting players that we'll likely neither sign nor be interested in so I'll just stick to what is missing in this squad.

- Dynamic full backs who can pin their opposite numbers back and can recover well enough. It would help if they could put in some decent delivery too.
- A CDM who can cover lots of ground and doesn't get bypassed easily like Dier and Wanyama have been doing this year.
- A creative midfielder - someone who can either compliment Eriksen so that we have two playmakers who can be decisive or replace him should he go.
- A striker/winger. Get rid of Llorente, get rid of Janssen. I don't want this Tottenham team resorting to long balls and direct play in this manner anymore. Get back to what we were good at quick incisive movement in the final third and suffocating opponents in this manner. A striker who can play with Kane and replace him is imperative as we won't have to resort to this target man crap that doesn't suit this team.

Since selling Dembele in early Feb without replacing him in January we’ve lost 7 league games and won 3 and gone from nailed on top 3 to potentially missing out on top 4 altogether.

Theres a direct correlation to selling Dembele, be it his influence on the pitch or in the dressing room.

I have no faith in the spurs hierarchy to strengthen where it’s needed, bring in the right talent or make any sensible decision and the above is the perfect example of the terrible decision making over the last few years.

You'll have plenty of free time when it comes to the summer months then, be fuck all going on in here in that regard!

Can’t believe we’re in the champions league semi and yet it feels like we’ve just been relegated. Weirdly enough I just can’t wait for this season to finish. I’m just spent, of all the seasons to fuck up top 4 ffs.

It’s hard to even know where to begin after the sheer disaster of the past couple of months.

For me, the following absolutely have to be sold:

Trippier
Wanyama
Dier
Nkoudou
Janssen
Vorm
Lamela

Meanwhile I think the following should leave if they can be upgraded:

Aurier
Davies
Llorente
Carter-Vickers
Walker-Peters
Onomah

And based on the second half of this season, I wouldn’t shed a tear for:

Eriksen
Alli
Winks

That basically leaves only the following who I think are must-keeps:

Lloris
Gazzaniga
Rose
Vertonghen
Alderweireld
Sanchez
Foyth
Skipp
Sissoko
Moura
Son
Kane

Lots of work to do. The rot of not signing anyone for 18 months runs very very deep at this point.

Winks?

Why's that. Because of injury?

Anybody that thinks we don't need to bring in another CB if Toby leaves is deluded.

As good as Foyth can be its still too early to tell.

He's still miles off being a started imo.

Is that true ? Who from and what did it say ?
It was JJ on twitter saying we are not currently working on any deals. Someone shared the info in this forum. It was in late April.

Post 4937:

"JJ on twitter today saying the club aren't actively working on deals (as you're not allowed to outside of the TW) but have picked out their targets and who they're looking to offload. Doesn't that seem pretty foolish and something that other clubs do? I mean Real Madrid are actively working on."

Not sure how to link that post directly.

Make Kane captain

Keep:

dele,jan,winks,Sissoko,rose,Sanchez,son

The rest are on the transfer list.

Invest in young hungry energetic players who have aspirations of playing for there national teams.

Too many of our players think they have made it. Ie dier and trippier and need a reality check when youngsters come in and show how it’s done

Arsenal and Chelsea have shown that missing out on CL doesn't prevent you from recruiting top players if you pay the necessary wages. I very highly doubt that Levy will do it, but we've simply got to change the wage structure if we want to continue progressing on the pitch. We have the revenues for it now so there is no excuse. If I were Poch I'd walk if Levy doesn't stump up the necessary funds.

I think that's a little harsh on Dier. He's had an injury ravaged season. He's played well before and was wanted by Mourinho because of his leadership qualities.

Trippier has no excuse.

Yes maybe a little harsh in hindsight given his injury problems.

The problem with dier is he is a centre back playing in central midfield. He doesn’t have the mobility, technical ability or passing range to compete at the highest level in this position.

Even bigger problem is he does not have the concentration or intelligence to make a top quality centre half imo. He has scared the life out of me playing centre back previously unless playing right hand
Side of a 3.

Truth is, he’s a good squad player but is not good enough if we want to move to he next level. That is playing in either position.

My biggest concern is that our squad has become really old. We started several years ago as the youngest squad of EPL. It is very unlikely that we can improve our performance with the current players as they are either are on their peak or will start downgrading.

There are so many players we could buy to beef up this squad for reasonable money.

Eg - Rondon for Llorente

Sort it out !!!!!!

It’s not good enough.

Because I think, injuries aside, he’s still very much dining out on one good night at the Bernabeu.

Not saying I actively want him gone, but I wouldn’t care if he left.

Fair play.

I've never heard so much shit in all my life.

All about opinions I guess.
