Christ some of you need to get a grip, this isn't FIFA or FM. We cannot sell and replace literally every single player in the squad except for Kane, Verts and Son.

I'm pretty sure I've seen all the other 8 players of our current strongest 11 being suggested for sale in this thread already, which is beyond comprehension. Sort yourselves out. :ROFLMAO:

TBF, most players in our squad could be suggested for sale. Just not at the same time..

Sell sissoko? Sell Winks? Toby isn’t good enough? Jesus!! Some mental shit going on in here...
Never said I think we should sell Winks, and I've never said that Alderweireld lacks in ability. He lacks in desire and commitment. And we could find CBs who'd be better due to higher desire and hunger level.
You'd keep Dier over Sissoko? Have you been smoking crack cocaine?
Provided that both are equally fit, I marginally prefer Dier over Sissoko, but I don't want either to be first choice in a revamped CM for the future.
Yeah I stopped taking him seriously when he said Toby is limited.
Alderweireld is limited in attitude.
So you want rid of players that are not performing and you want rid of players that are performing? ?
I think we'll never see a better season from Sissoko, and I think we need better CM performances to move forward.

Keep in mind peeps, I started out writing about players I'd really, really want to keep. That doesn't equal sell the rest of the bloody squad. Fuck me some people cannot understand words on a screen. How can they assess a player.

I sure hope we snap up some of the many talents in the Championship. With Norwich moving up to the Premier League, we can forget about Max Aarons, Jamal Lewis, Emiliano Buendia and Ben Godfrey. But there's Jack Grealish, Jarrod Bowen, Joe Rodon who are all talented and what I believe could fit in well with us

I’ve held back from putting any wishlists in here. But the thread will be locked soon and the proper transfer forum will open, so its now or never...

Personally I don’t think we’ve been let down by a lack of quality in our first eleven this year. What’s let us down is a lack of depth and being crippled by several key injuries at a time. So if I were Poch my main objective would be to bring in some young, hungry reinforcements.

The area we have the most problems with is midfield. Signing the likes of Grealish, and Tielemans, or Gomes would be a priority.

If an improvement could be found for right back, I’d sell one of Aurier or Trippier and bring someone in. It would be madness to sell both. I can’t seee KWP breaking into the first team any time soon, and I just don’t think we will be able to compete for Aaron Wan Bissaka, who else is reasonably available? Hakimi from Real (on loan at Dortmund) would be amazing, but would Real sell?

Other than that, Seesengnon looks pretty nailed on, and he could provide cover down the entire left flank.

I don’t think we will see any kind of massive overhaul, for starters we don’t have the money, however we may see tweaks to the squad here and there.

Whilst this is true, we all know in most squads these days you could suggest up to half of the squad could be improved upon except for maybe City who have an extremely strong 11.

But to suggest we get rid of 8 players that have gotten us into 3rd place and the semi finals, as well as the performances of the past few seasons is just a naive narrative and it’s not even optimistic, it’s outrageous to think that we can improve that much even over a few windows. We can definitely add to our squad and get a few really good players in to challenge for these spots, but not outright replace these players. Everyone has a role to fulfill in the squad, even if another player comes in to challenge for the starting birth. More importantly we need depth not replacements.

I’m all for strengthening and improving our squad but we can’t and never will have a starting team of world class players. No team in the world has that. That’s why I said people need to stop playing fifa and be at least a little realistic with their expectations.

I’d love someone who can pass the ball in central midfield. Poch has never seemed that bothered by that though preferring physicality. If we could find a player with that and a superb passing range then that’s who we should go for. There must be someone out there and I don’t mean a late thirties Tom Huddlestone.

Just replying to my bit of this post, funnily enough I didn’t have a problem with anything you said except for the Sissoko post. Not only has he turned around his fortunes but it’s glaringly obvious that he has become our second most important player behind Kane. Yes, even more important than Son. The work he puts in for this team week in and week out is unreal, without his industrious engine, defending and covering the full backs, and the powerful driving runs forward in midfield we would be a lot worse off this season.

But the point of this post is to let you know I wasn’t talking about you in specific with my post, just the general theme across this thread for the past few days.

What makes you think Alderweireld is lacking in any of desire, commitment, or attitude? Is there any evidence for this whatsoever?

If anything, the way he's got on with the job this season to such a high level, and the absolute commitment with which he's dedicated himself to the team says otherwise on all those points.

Depending on what happens to Villa in the play-offs, I'd go for these 4:

Grealish (Home-grown)
Brooks (Home-grown)
Zaha (Home-grown)
Sessegnon (Home-grown)

We'd have to spend a few quid, but they're all gettable.

And if the likes of Eriksen and a few others are off, then we'd certainly have the funds.

After that, add in a RB and we'd be looking good for 2019/20.

Players i'd like to keep: Gazza, Toby, Verts, Sanchez, Foyth, Rose/Davies, Aurier, Winks, Sissoko, Dier, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane, Moura.

Players that can go: Lloris, Vorm, Trippier, Rose/Davies/, Wanyama, Lamela, Llorente, Janssen, GKN, CCV, KWP, Onomah

Players i'd like to sign: HG Keeper, AWB/Atal, Sessengon, Grealish, Tielemans/Or TOP CM, Zaha, James

It's not football manager, but our squad needs a massive overhaul.

The links to Gomes would seem to indicate that it's on the agenda. Without Winks we aaren't very creative in CM but rely on Sissoko's power to drive us forward.

Sissoko has had a fantastic season and this is nothing against him or Winks as individuals they’re both very good squad players but as a two some and/or any other combination we have... none of them are good enough for where we’re competing. Dembele and Wanyama with attacking full backs were immense. These days we’ve crap full backs and we get overrun in central midfield. Upgrading the full backs may fix this but we would still need 1-2 new additions in central midfield as we only have 1 athletic CM - Sissoko and 1 passer - Winks.

It's all mad.

This is why people on here end up nearly giving themselves a heart attack. They write these fantasy lists that involve selling 15 players and buying 15 replacement - including fantasy values for both sales and purchases. Then when we get to the end of the window and we've sold 2 players, loaned a couple out but only signed 2 players, neither of which were on their list, they end up going into complete meltdown and raging at Levy, the club, Poch, other fans etc....

I really don't know why anyone would want to build themselves up into such a tizz over something that is completely out of their control.
