SSN reporting that Bale could be made available for a 2-year lone in a deal similar to the one they made with Bayern for James Rodriguez.

Would be alright if they were stumping up a wedge towards his wages, too ??

We really need to address our RB spot. Youcef Atal has been mentioned here a couple of times but should be one of our primary targets. He has pace, dribbling ability, and versatility. Having Atal and Sessegnon as our wingbacks would elevate our wing play to a whole new level.

Any interest? If we could get him back up to 2016 Sanches he'd be a coup. Bloody Gestifute though...
I'll pass.
Don't know if I posted my defense of him here or not. Again, it's about the raw materials and anything beyond that is coaching.

Sanches has fancied himself an 8 but he has looked a little loose in the passing department. But what he does have that is undeniable is physical tools and a very decent MF awareness. His time at Swansea wasn't great but he did pick up toward the end. He may not be an 8 at this level and may be more a 6 with pace, mobility, and power allied with some footballing ability.

There is no shame in that especially if he still retains much of the other MF qualities. It might be a hard sell to a 21 year old to say 'you are not as good as you think you are' but he is negotiating from a very weak position at this point and we could protect ourselves with a loan to buy with a pre-set (low) price - 1 year loan for 3M with a 15M buy price. I wouldn't write this off...except for the Gestifute issue. F*ck them. But at this point nothing could be worse than that decrepit display by Wanyama tonight.

And dtx stop poo-pooing things so easily.:ROFLMAO: We only got 150M to spend and it's gotta go a long way. That is, unless you don't desire a replacement for your boy Tripps.

Could have done with a Grealish type against that packed defence tonight. Wanyama just wasn't needed at all.....in face toby and Jan were in his position 90% of the game.

That ability to face someone up and beat him drawing another defender out making space for them.

I'll pass.
Not for me.
He’s still only 21, so can’t be written off as someone who failed to achieve their early promise just yet, but it’d be quite a risk to take. He bombed quite hard at Swansea, too.
No fucking balls. Soft as. Hell no.
Did you see him for Swansea?

Ouch. I am very aware of his time at Swansea but think that was a poor move for all parties. Bayern are giving him minutes (though seemingly gesture minutes) and they are stacked in midfield with Thiago sitting where Sanches would like on field, and Tolisso coming back. Time will tell but if it’s confidence and opportunity then Poch could coax a dynamo of a player out.

Perfect game for Sissoko. Powering through.

Sissoko needs space to run into, same as Moura (just different technique to get past opponents).

What we needed tonight was overlapping FBs who crossed first time!

A lot of talk about what we needed last night, and yes, a bit more zip from midfield (Winks), or better transitional play (Sissoko) or a bit more fight from the front (Kane) would’ve been great, but really what we needed was to keep fighting until we go the breakthrough, and a bit of magic, both of which we got.

I’m in agreement with most of the suggestions about where we need to improve, but last night didn’t shed any light on our transfer requirements.
