He plays as a AMC according to transfermarkt and whoscred
He does, but the Championship is a very different league, and Villa a very different quality team from us. Midfield at the highest level these days isn't so much about power and crunching tackles, it's the ability to break through pressing traps, take the ball in tight areas and use it well.

There's nothing extraordinary right now. Palacios is the only one. Maybe Matias Vargas,. Pedro de la Vega if you want a wonderkid for the academy
But I feel the difference in style and pace between the leagues mean they will take too much time to adapt

Do you know much about Ezequiel Barco at Atlanta?

Which is what Winks is becoming very good at

Brooks is similar to Dele with a left foot, however I feel Dele is pretty special and could actually play as a play maker in a two three anywhere really, Brooks is a AM and has vast potential too.

Grealish is the nearest player I see who has Dembele / Modric attributes. I'd love for us to get him.

Yes, looked good while at Independiente, but he made a mistake with that move to Atlanta imo. He's wasting his formative years in that league.

Almiron disagrees.

Barco dealt with some maturity issues last year, like sliding into the DMs of his teammates wife. The team handed him a 2 match suspension for that impropriety. Atlanta and MLS is a perfect spot for him at this age, he just needs to take advantage of the opportunity provided and improve his game.

All that said, not sure he's even PL good.

For me Brooks looks like a player that can go right to the very top, my only concern is whether he is too similar to Dele.

No, think he’s more like Eriksen.

Him and Tielemens would be the perfect signings
AWB at RB would be a nice touch too.

IMO you've listed the main things that Grealish is good at.

What does he disagree??
The MLS is not a proper league to form a top player. Sorry
Almiron would be a better player if he stayed in Argentina or went to Spain for example.

Almiron's path from MLS to the best league in the world proves it was a good decision.

I'm surprised more people haven't been bringing up Sporting's midfielder Bruno Fernandes around here. He has many similarities to Eriksen and has playing in both a midfield 3 for Sporting this season and as an attacking midfielder.

Whoscored's top rated player in Liga NOS, 16 goals, 11 assists, 3.1 Key pass p 90, 1.0 dribble p 90, 3.5 shots p game in 28 apps in the league.

How can that prove it was a good decision? Almiron managed to move to Europe in spite of making the terrible decision of moving to the MLS. I can name you 10 argentinan players that moved to the MLS and got stuck there.
There's 2 cases of good players that went to the UAE, and then directly to the PL. (Lanzini and Zarate). Would you claim they made a good decision going to the UAE??

Almiron moved because he's a good player, not because the MLS helped him in any way. He certainly didn't improve from the level he had in Argentina

The MLS is just another league where they go for easy money. That's why Barco made a bad decision. He could be playing as a starter in a mid table spanish team by now. Instead he went to Atlanta, and regressed

This. Being the exception doesn't prove anything.

Almiron's game definitely improved over the two years he spent in Atlanta, at least from the 30+ games I saw him play. We can agree to disagree.

Player moves need to be looked at on an individual basis. No one is claiming that MLS is a bastion for player development but to say any decsion to move there is a bad one, is lazy. If a player continues to progress in an upward trajectory allowing him to reach his career goals, I'd call that a good decision.

The jury is still out on Barco. He didn't standout playing for the best team in the league last season. Part of that was due to maturity, as I mentioned earlier. Today, I'd comfortably argue against him being good enough to start for a mid-table La Liga club.

Anyways, sorry to derail the purpose of the thread.
