Fair enough I stand corrected.
Just by watching the game I thought Ali played the DLP winks role
Dele was deeper to get the ball at times - but he also pushed higher up in attack - so that put his average position higher up the pitch.

Sessegnon can't defend and Poch hasn't been very successful with Aurier or Trippier.
Aurier I’d agree but tripper was a relegated rb that ended up being 1 of England best players at the World Cup. I would say poch has got everything and more out of a limited player

If buying Sessegnon was the difference between being able to afford Ndombele or Andre Gomes would you be happy with that?

I'm still very much of the opinion we have a limited budget and need to really focus on what our team needs are and be smart about our purchases.

honest I'm not having ago, but why not wait and see what our budget is. no one except Levy, Poch and Hitchin no exactly what we have to spend, no one knows how much we will finally get for the possible 12 out if that's true.

we can't spend every year basing our guesses on what we spent previous seasons

Rose is not gonna sign another contract here (Levy won’t be offering him one), so it would be preparing for the future.

Why wouldn't Levy offer Rose a new contract?

Not sure how we will get rid of Janssen, Nkoudou, and Wanyama unless we stick a big £0 price tag on their heads. You'd have to be mental to buy Wanyama with his injury record which is really sad given how good he was 2 years ago. The only players I can see offers coming in for are Toby, Trippier, maybe Lamela (although his injury record is a concern too). I personally don't think Eriksen will go because I don't think anyone good enough will want him, especially at the price Levy will demand. Think we'll see a turn over of 4 players this summer, which will be ok as long as the incomings are top quality.

If only there was a team with idiot owners that had a history of buying players with dreadful injury records.

Why do people seem to think Nick Pope is going to join us as a 3rd choice goalkeeper? No need to waste a penny on that position.

As for Sessegnon I think we've got to go for him even if he's not ready for our first team yet. He's eighteen so he won't take up a squad place for another couple of years, hes got bags of potential, he's good in front of goal, and he could be our player for the next fifteen years. How much will a decent fullback or winger cost in five or ten years time?

I think Tielemans is looking like he could be a great option. Certainly doesn't sound like he'll stay at Leicester if there are better offers and we wouldn't have any doubts as to whether he could suit the premier league. He just looks like he has a bit of football IQ and I feel we just need smarter passes on the pitch. Kane seems to play better from the midfield than any of the midfielders, he passes with pace, intent and progressiveness, we need more of that to come from the players behind him.

Watching the Bayern v Dortmund game, even though Dortmund are being thrashed (5-0 now), I would take the Dortmund goalkeeper Burki or Pavlenka the goalkeeper from Werder Bremen.

Bürki's looked really ropey every time we've played them over the last few years.

Should have saved both Son's and Kane's goals at Wembley last season imo.

Anyway the last thing we should be looking at is another overseas keeper.

Lloris has had a troubled season but winning a world cup and his drink driving charges certainly might have something to do with it. I'm more than ok with him having Lloris as number 1 for 1 more season at least with Gazzaniga pushing him. 3rd keeper should be HG.

Burki is no better than Lloris tbh in fact we'd be going backwards if we signed him.

Erm so surely he'd want to go somewhere he'd be first choice.

I agree, although there are quite a few keepers who seem happy to be second or third choice throughout their careers.

I would suggest that any player who goes to the Sun saying “he knows what he’s worth” regarding contracts is not gonna get much from Levy.

If Poch wants to keep him then Levy will offer him a contract. Levy's not going to let an interview from two years ago while the player was suffering from depression cloud his judgement.
