We've been linked to him since literally seconds after he finalized his moved to Bournemouth. It's also widely reported Chelsea have a first option to buy him back. Also Ake is fine at Bournemouth. That's his level and that's where he needs to stay imo.

Chavs can have the option to buy him back, pity they can't buy anyone, though.

I've not seen enough of the lad to judge him, I just posted the tweet because it's transfer related, like this thread.

All this spread bull shit mentality has to stop that's why we end up with dead wood. What we need to be is clinical, decide on the exact player we want then execute. I'd rather we buy one outstanding player than 3 maybes.

There's a difference with these players though. Spreading a rumoured £60m investment with a player like Ndombele across two players who clearly have quality in Rabiot & Berge for me just makes far more sense.

If Ndombele flops he'd be hard to move on, Rabiot & Berge on the other hand you'd be looking at a £25m transfer fee. If that extra £35m can be used elsewhere instead of just lumping it all on one player I still think this is the right way/ model for us for the time being

Good players but I reckon we’d still need a RB and a DM.

Agreed we need a FB & DM but with the rumours of Eriksen & Toby going I think plugging those gaps is more important than both positions.

This team has proven it can survive with what we have at present but to lose Toby & Eriksen would knock us down that important peg. I hope we sign a couple more but for me, how it's shaping up Andersen, Havertz & Brandt solve so many issues we go into the summer facing.

You make an interesting point however with the RB & DM positions. These are the two obvious areas we can improve with the team right now should everyone stay etc. If people could choose 1 RB & 1 DM right now that's realistic who would people go for?

DM: Berge
RB: not sure. Maybe Aarons?

I'm with you on Berge. Aarons I'm not convinced of just yet. I think we need to see how he gets on next year if he gets promoted.

Aarons, Berge, Andersen, Havertz, Brandt. £140m to solve all of our issues regardless of Toby & Christian deciding to do one. I think we are long overdue a summer like this but sadly I see it as wishful thinking regardless of how much we make on outgoings.

Rabiot isn't signing. He'll end up at Barcelona or resign for PSG. We'l not a "big enough club" for him.

NDombele and Berge look more likely. Although I guess how many CMs we sign will depend on if we end up getting rid of Wanyama. That doesn't look likely if he won't pass a medical.

He aint signing for PSG. A day or so ago his mom was out comparing his situation at the club to imprisonment with water and bread.

Apologies if anyone has already posted but has anyone put together a list of Bosmans, players with 1 year left on their contracts and players with low release clauses ? Seen mention of Brandt’s clause and Fornal but I think it would be really helpful to have a list of all the players who could be cheap because inevitably this is where we will be shopping, if at all.

Did anyone watch the Germany game tonight, interested to know how Havertz, Brandt and Tah played ?

Brandt classy but lacks the extra bit required for a top club. He'd be a great signing to develop. Havertz oozes quality I'd have him in a heartbeat. Tah not classy enough compared to what else is out there IMO

'If' is a dangerous word. We're at that stage right now all in....the spread bet is with our development players.

Liverpool is an example tho I really don't like to compare, going for your target pays off.

Bayer Leverkusen are certainly a team we should looking to do business with this summer considering their average season, however, I don't see any way that they let us sign two of their best players in Havertz AND Brandt. One or the other maybe and if I had to choose then it would be Havertz.

Certainly want us looking at Lo Celso as an alternative to Havertz though, he's available after being on loan at Betis (been brilliant) and we have a good relationship with PSG.

If we can't get either Havertz or Brandt then I'd like a cheeky bid for Jonathan Tah as a replacement for Toby. Not sure we'd invest big in a CB though at this point.

Betis also have an option to buy in that loan, so he's not necessarily "available".
