We’re not a step up from Dortmund, I’m afraid. If he leaves there it will be for Real, Barca, or United. That’s just the sad truth.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I was more saying IF we were to really push the boat out on a special signing it would make much more sense to invest in a younger prospect than Bale.

It still irks me a little that Arse were able to go out and get Aubameyang - but he’s on a ridiculous wedge I’m guessing.

Just looking at a team of players who's contracts end in the summer as we've shown we are not up for spending money - you can actually pick up a decent team out there (not that all these will leave, especially the keeper)

Balotelli
D. Sturridge Mata Ben Arfa
Rabiot A.Herrera
Darmian Godin Luiz Monreal
De Gea

subs: Milner Moreno Fer Welbeck Brahimi Komany H.Herrera

Come on then Danny boy sort it out - I do see some behavioural issues there though!

We should look at Hector Herrera on a free transfer.

Not for me. RB needs to have very good defensive instincts. We have 2 RBs now who've played there for years and find the job difficult. What Sissoko does now is use his athleticism to avert danger but the role of RB is far more complex than that. In our system we also need players who can deliver a final ball and again, we have players who've played there for many years who can't do it. haven't seen any evidence that it's a strength for Sissoko and he was pretty awful when he played wide right for us before switching to CM.

If most/all our midfielders are back, I wouldn’t mind seeing Sissoko used as RWB when we play a back 3 until the summer (when, hopefully, we get an upgrade on our RB/RWB position).

Sissoko has greater pace to recover back along the right wing than our current two first choice RBs/RWBs. We won’t get bullied that easily by pacy left sided opponents than we are at the moment. It would also ease pressure on our CBs/DM.

I'd still have a lot of concerns about the technical side of playing at the back like positioning and playing in unison with the rest of the back line. It's not just something you'd expect a player to pick up easily. It takes plenty of experience which Sissoko hasn't got.

A lot of this depends on how poch wants us to play, a few years ago when we were arguably at our best under poch chasing Chelsea for the title and going on a 13 game win run I think it was... we had a great combination of pace power and technique, with the losses of walker and dembele two hugely important players to the way we used to play, we now lack that pace and drive and more importantly that creativity that dembele brought, sissoko has been great this season for sure but lacks the creativity and passing and dribbling ability of a dembele, sissoko is much more direct and straight lines which is good on the counter etc but when we play high up and dominate the ball which is what I think poch prefers then sissoko doesn’t really fit, nor does trippier as he can’t recover quickly enough.

I’d love to b a fly on the wall in the conversations that poch has with levy and hitchen about potential players etc, does poch actually know how he wants us to play anymore or is it a case that the players that would fit that haven’t been available hence his and our hesitancy to buy anyone recently unless they’re absolutely the correct player?...

For me we need:

RB: Wan Bisakka (get rid of trippier)
LB: Chilwell (get rid of Rose for his past attitude and injuries or Davies for his lack of pace), upgrade with Chilwell
CM: N’Domble - powerhouse CM/CDM who can tackle pass etc like dembele.
CM: Grealish? - someone who can create pass and dribble.
AM: Bale, Peresic, Malcom, Zaha etc - ideally a top top level world class experienced game changing attacking mid to give us that extra attacking threat aside from Kane and son. If not any of these then perhaps that Robert Skov or a similar calculated ‘punt’

No ST needed as Son and Llorenre should be sufficient back up.

These are the signings we need

May as well cross Chilwell off the list - Man City linked today...£75m!!

It could be half that and I wouldn't expect us to pay it.

Let's say Chilwell will cost £60m, someone like Wan Bissaka will probably cost around £45-50m...

Just can't see us spending anywhere near that on fullbacks this summer, and we need them desperately.

Utd aren't a step up from Dortmund either but I know what you're saying.

RAWK levels of delusion. United are on of the biggest clubs in the world. It’s a step up from every club aside from Real Madrid and Barca.

He’s the next big attacking talent and has been linked to all the elite clubs. He’ll cost a fortune. I think it’s perhaps wiser to go for someone a little more under the radar like Joelinton at Hoffenheim.
I'm sure I've read Joelinton has really good tackling stats for an attacking player.

Yeah I think to get Sessegnon and Wan Bissaka in we looking at nothing short of 75-80 million. We need new blood in both position unless Poch is willing to promote KWP next season. Tielmans as been quoted at 40 million today, Grealish probably 30 million.

If Fulham go down, I reckon we could get Sessengon for about £50m ... but not sure whether we see him as a full back or a winger...don't think he's played as a fullback at all this season.
