I’ve just seen a player I wasn’t aware of before but I seriously think we need to keep an eye out for him Daniel James at Swansea blistering pace ,winger , young 18-19 , Welsh kid , I think might be a lefty too need to watch him again.. him and Edwards.

Daniel James of Swansea just absolutely blitzed down the field on what was essentially a solo counter, to score a nice goal. That was incredibly impressive. Let's sign him yesterday.

Apparently close to signing for Leeds in January. There seems to be a lot of young British players(not just in the Premier League) with big potential coming through at the moment.

A little late to the party, here. I've been a HUGE advocate for signing Daniel James all the way back to about an hour ago.

I disagree with a lot of those descriptions. Most of them are being overrated. I feel a lot of them are there just to have 50 players to fill the list.

In the description of Claudio Bravo, it says "Claudio Bravo is certainly no Juan Pablo Sorín as yet but the Banfield youngster has developed into one of the Superliga’s top full backs". He has played only 11 games in his career, and he's 21 yrs old. Even without ever watching him, I can assure you he's nowhere near the top full backs in the league or else there would be at least a link or a rumour with any of the big 5 clubs.

I'll give you my take on that list
50. Cubas - shit
49. Veron - Don't know him. No idea
48. Lovera - average
47. Bustos - above average, but not good enough for Europe
46. Perez - Top prospect. U20 captain. Already signed for Atl. Madrid
45. Colidio - Rated but looked average to me the times I saw him
44. Romero - Good prospect.
43. De la Vega - Top prospect. Really like him. Wish River would sign him as he's a fan
42. Chancalay - With potential but average so far
41. Carranza - Don't know him
40. Pellegrini - Good prospect. Still extremely raw
39. Bravo - Don't know him
38. Rodriguez - Average
37. Werner - Shit
36. Montiel - Above average. Good defensively and a workhorse, but not very good offensively
35. Robertone - Average
34. Reniero - Average
33. Alvarez - Top prospect
32. Fernandez - Has been playing good, but he's average imo. If he gets a transfer to a bigger team, we'll see if he's good enough
31. Godoy - Good player
30. Reynoso - Extremely talented, but doesn't have mental strength and has problems outside football
29. Barboza - shit
28. MacAllister - average
27. Almendra - good prospect
26. Martinez Quarta - looked a good prospect but his progress stalled
25. Almada - Top prospect
24. Maroni - Top prospect
23. Senesi - good prospect
22. Dominguez - Top prospect. Really like him
21. Martinez - Average. Too small to be a CB
20. Romero - overrated
19. Balerdi - overrated. He was extremely shit for the U20, but Dortmund payed a lot for him, so there's must be something about him
18. Zaracho - above average
17. Bustos - Top prospect, even though his progress stalled
16. Vargas - Great prospect. Will definitively be transferred to Europe in the next couple of windows
15. Franco - Good prospect. He had some problems outside football
14. Gonzalez - overrated
13. Barco - top player, and big game player, but ruined his career going to the MLS imo
12. Caseres - average
11. Driussi - Was the best player of the league before he moved to Russia where it didn't work out for him so far
Interesting, I'm not going to pretend like I do anything other than stat watch and catch the odd game on stream. But I do watch Banfield as much as I can and Bravo is legit. He reminds me so much of Danny Rose. He's played 22 career games so not a lot, but Banfield management seems to like to rotate their fullbacks quite a bit.

Really surprised u dont rate Gonzalez, I know he's struggling in a really poor Stuttgart side, but I've always been very impressed with him. Think he's been the one bright spot in their season.

Im surprised Barco didnt take to the MLS, it's really been a great league for Argintines. But now that de Boer in charge of Atlanta I do worry about him.

Well i think 1 things for certain is that this summer he will 100% leave madrid. Every summer has been a 'maybe' as far as bale leaving but this time he will for sure.
Will he go anywhere else other that the pl? No.
From the current top 6 in the pl i think we can remove arse and city for sure. He does not strike me as a klopp player either.
Id love to see him back at nwhl together with kane alli and son and i think we could get him back in great shape. Stranger things have happened and we need somebody of his magnitude.

Agree. We all know they are totally different players but if we are to lose a player of Eriksens ability then signing Bale would mitigate that. Signing an inferior version to Eriksen will just make us weaker

With the following front 4 we might not miss Eriksen so much

Kane
Son Dele Bale

Not really relevant as our top 6 competitors go out and buy senior players. But seeing as you ask City have Foden and sold Brahim for £20m, Chelsea have Hudson-Odoi and a bunch of good players like Mason Mount on loan (the fact they don’t play them is the dysfunctionality of that club not the quality of the players), the goons have Reiss-Nelson out in the Bundesliga and a few actually making their first team, United have a young forward coming through who is according to their fans better than Rashford (think his name is Greenwood), the Spammers have Rice. Liverpool have TAA and Gomez. I’m not an expert on other clubs youth but ours does seem pretty poor.

okay lets put in a reply to this:

Chelsea have been in a position to buy up young talent for 16 years, they have an owner that has heavily invested, the trouble is they buy them to stop other teams getting them. they 9/10 times they leave to play on loan somewhere and 9/10 get sold. their youth don't make it into the PL playing for Chelsea. the same with Man City, Foden should be given the chance, but Pep hasn't given him that. the rest of their youth go the same way as Chelsea's.

yes we have had the new training facilities for 7 years now, but until the stadium is up and running the club will not pay the prices those 2 do, they most probably still won't, but will be able to pay more that might turn their heads knowing that Poch gives them the chance compared to the other 2 clubs.

Happy to take this to another thread, my point wasn’t about investment, neither Foden or Hudson Odoi were purchased, but about the quality of our scouting and development. As to the point about City and Chelsea not giving youth a chance that really is my point about where our advantage should be, we would give opportunities to Foden, Hudson, RLC, we just aren’t producing that type of quality, although I take on board the comments about our current U18s, let’s hope they are what we have been waiting for.

No but the point is those 2 clubs pay silly money to the kids and their parents to get them into their development. Liverpool are or was suffering a ban in the way they went in getting in players.

Once we have more clout with money coming in we can offer the youngsters more in hope of getting them, and then developing.

While Andersen is seen as likely to go to Tottenham Hotspur, with contact and progress having already been made there...

Ally Gold has also said we like him and are interested in him in his latest Q&A
Yeah, just read through the Q&A and he mentioned De Ligt, Ndombele and Andersen as players who Tottenham have interest in. De Ligt & Ndombele being the top of the list, for obvious reasons.

As others have said, Dan James scored a belter today against Brentford. He's going to be a serious player and would be a perfect Poch project.
Leeds thought they had him on deadline day but Swansea refused to answer the phone (Leeds were apparently offering £3m!) The American owners are out to make a quick buck, so I don't think it would take more than 10-15m for him (which in this current climate is peanuts)

As a Welsh Spurs fan, I'd love either James or David Brooks as both have serious potential and haven't reached their ceilings as yet. Working with Poch would be huge for both/either and Wales. Definitely the type of players we should be looking at.

And their midfield seems empty/lost when he's not available.

Decent shout.

The way he literally just knocked the ball past his opponents and burnt them for pace was like watching Bale tearing up the champions league for us.

I took the opportunity this weekend to speak with my children about the SC rituals associated with signing players. I told them about the magic 100 page thread and how once a thread featuring a transfer target reaches a 100 pages, the immutable laws of the universe converge on a corporeal level to manifest the signing of the target.

They were dead impressed.

Then we discussed the phenomenon of being Levyied, and how Daniel Levy was so adept at saving every penny possible to a point where the selling club suffered Stockholm Syndrome and developed a business crush on the glintzy supremo, a spell so ludicrously potent it took years for them to realise they’d been diddled. And even then the Levyied party, after finally understanding the magnitude of the bad deal, felt soft, warm twinges in their loins.

We spoke of the Stoof Stamp too. And how a mystical creature bedecked in smurf uniform appeared mysteriously from the shadows of SC’s collective unconscious to stamp his digital authority on the internet and announce the official signing of the transfer target. I told them, tears glinting like fresh celestial stars, that grown men, in that moment, forgot their woes and mortgages and unified in the blue hue of this strange angel.

My children were enraptured and they too wept at the glory of a universe that delivered such joyful occasions to so many. Then my youngest fell silent for a long moment, finally piping up, “Fuck off, dad. Tottenham never sign anyone!”
