Lorente and janssen out, Sturridge in
Moura out, Brooks in
Ericksen out, havertz in
Dembele and VW out, berg in
Aurier out, wan bissaka in
Toby out, Anderson in

Net spend would not be too significant in the above scenario

Appreciate the list, I just don’t see making ourselves weaker as being the main objective of the next transfer window.

Think rabiot will come in. Think that was more or less done before his father sadly passed.

Man its have been told to expect to pay £70 million for jadon sancho ,, according to Neil custis in the sun. Cant see us going any where that .
It’s bollocks though. They wouldn’t even pick up the phone for a penny under the 100m they sold Dembele for.

Just a thought: what are the chances that Toby and Eriksen will try to run down their contracts with a view to a free transfer? I realise this has been asked before, but perhaps the Ramsay/Juventus outcome will encourage them to hold out for a big payday when their contracts expire?

Levy will obviously want to cash in if that's the case, but I guess the players themselves have some power in determining where and when they leave?

(However in Toby’s case the situation is complicated by the £25m release fee).

We may have been close in Jan, but there will be a lot more competition in the summer. Everyone will be having a nibble for him, as it’s simply too good a bargain to pass up.

Interestingly post-Dortmund when asked about the players having a couple of days off, and what he’d be doing, Poch said “I’m going somewhere, but I cannot tell you,” or words to that affect. Makes me wonder if he could be using the time to visit Rabiot, who’s free to talk to anyone abroad, to try and seal a deal.

Ramsey only just turned 28. Jan will be 33 at the end of his contract. No way that makes sense for jan unless he’s desperate to return to Ajax.

Toby could get one more big contract cos he’ll be 30 in the summer. Will Liverpool or Man City snap him up? Or a mega club? Nope. So it has to be for the money. Will he earn that much more elsewhere? Maybe at United or Juve ? Options limited tbh.

Poch was said to have phoned Rabiot, but wasn't there a few snippets in the press with him supposedly declaring that he'd want Liverpool if he were to come to the prem.

Losing Toby and ericksen will make it practically impossible to be stronger. I think if we got havertz and Brooks we are pretty strong going forward albeit losing Ericksen. I don't rate Moura at all. Sturridge is no weaker than lorente. Would have no issue if we kept Lorente instead. Don't know who we could get in Toby league. Top class centre backs are thin on the ground. Rightback would be much stronger if we got wan bissaka. All in all if the target is low net spend by levy I don't think that list would make us that much weaker

I was talking about Eriksen not Jan ?
Take your point on Toby though.

He is going to be one of the best players England has produced. Such talent and if we have any chance of getting him should be all over it.

Why City decided to sign Mahrez in the summer who really doesn't improve them and not give this guy games is beyond me. Chelsea will do the same with Hudson, idiots.

Sancho left them two summer's ago, not the last one when they bought Mahrez. Still, the point is valid.

If we have any chance of getting Sancho, even if the price is 100m, we should do it IMO

It would be a massive statement and would give us a front three to rival anyone. I also struggle to see he’ll value over time. He looks a nailed on world star.

Never going to happen, but that’s where should go if there’s any chance

A few rumours about Perisic a couple of days ago in the Italian papers. He'd be useful as a LWB in an aggressive formation. And if we can get Rabiot of a free that would be amazing business. Just sign those two and keep Toby and Eriksen and it'll be a greta window!

People really have to forget about him. If and when he leaves Dortmund it will be a record busting deal. They won't take less than they got for Dembele. It'll be Real, Barca, United fighting for him.

I had seen elsewhere a while back we had scouted Brugge's striker Wesley. The last line is intriguing as well as we've had plenty of links to Sander Berge out of Belgium.

This is the start of weekly remainders that Pochs whole project has been predicated on the collective and not on individuals. I know this thread is to allow people to fantasise a little but there will be no more than 3/4 leaving and 1/2 (plus third choice keeper) arriving. Could be fewer than that.

Players leaving will probably be fringe players who have started <10 games and so won’t really need replacing but you have to feel that eventually Poch will be able to land a player he really wants...as long as the sale of these fringe players can be made.

Would be interesting to know who people think we might buy within those constraints.

I think we’ll sign a CB or LB (depending on who’s available and where Poch sees Davies playing).

And I think we’ll see a CM arrive. More 8 than 10 but able to play both, particularly if Eriksen goes.
Look at the list of players on a Bosman and that will tell you the players on our shopping list. The rumours of Sturridge fits this, Rabiot fits this and I expect links to Hector Herrera shortly. Expect yet another summer where transfer activity is determined by price not quality. When this happens maybe you will finally recognise the issues with our owners.
