Trying to be as realistic as possible. Given that Eriksen is probably off, I would like us to switch to a similar style formation wise to City, sort of like a 4-3-3 with one of the midfielders playing in a more advanced role and the other two sitting deeper. I think going into the new stadium we'll need to show some ambition by buying one special player, and I think Sancho really fits our club well. Still really young, I'm guessing we'd have no trouble to pay him his desired wages, I have no doubt that he dreams of coming back to England, and I think he'd fit in with the rest of our English players. Levy has proven that he is not afraid to buy youth even at a premium as he's done with Sanchez. With Sancho, in five years time, he'd get over double what he'd pay to buy him now. I think it's a gamble worth taking, and with the Eriksen money, we'd surely have the money to spend.

OUT:
Vorm - Free
Trippier - 25mill
Alderweireld - 25mill
Wanyama - 15mill
Eriksen - 70mill
Nkoudou - 8mill
Janssen - 8mill

KWP - Loan
Onomah - Loan
CCV - Loan
Total Income: 151mill

IN:
AWB - 45mill
Ake - 30mill
Grealish - 30mill
Brooks - 40 mill
Sancho - 75mill
Total Spent: 220mill
Net Spend = 69mill

Squad List:
GK: Lloris, Gazzaniga, Whiteman
RB: AWB, Aurier
RCB: Sanchez, Foyth
LCB: Vertonghen, Ake
LB: Rose, Davies
CM1: Dier, Sissoko
CM2: Winks, Grealish, Skipp
CAM: Alli, Brooks

Andre Herrera. He’s an utter shit but I’m convinced he’s been the basis for man u’s resurgence under solskjaer, he just let’s the attackers play. I think he should be seriously looked at as an option for our central midfield. His contract is up in the summer.

One of those players that goes under the radar but actually does his job quite well. I wouldn't be against this signing at all especially due to his contract being up and his relatively low wages(Reported to be 75k a week).

Read report on manu offering 110k while psg has 150k on the table; who knows.
Certainly wouldn’t mind having him tho.

If we're going for a wing forward, Lozano has very impressive stats playing off of either wing. He should be high up on the list IMHO.

Hope we go for Chelowsko. Quick and two footed.

Bit short but not afraid of the physicality. Shouldn’t cost too much.

So, today's links to players I know nothing about are 30yr old Perisic for £30m (via TuttoMercatoWeb)

And 26yr old Ajax Argentine defender, Nicolas Tagliafoco, who Ajax want £15m for (linked with us & Arseanal via the sun)..

Any good?

Tagliafoco has been very good on their CL run, but he’s not the kind of FB that most on here crave. Not a real pacy guy, more creative, maybe in the sort of Marcos Alonso mould.

Perisic is a good player but Wil Poch/Levy want a player with no sell on value?
Don't know what his injury record has been like but he's quick, skillful and has a eye for goal.

Talgliafoco has a great name.
And that's all I got on him!

Perisic is being linked away in every window. Utd, us and Arsenal over the last few years.

Tagliafico is touted as the Marcelo replacement at Real.

Hi guys! A week off and not much to do, so most of my time is spent thinking about the run in this season, and the upcoming summer.

I’ve calculated the last fixtures this season, and I’ve come to the conclusion that we’ll end this campaign in a Champions League-spot.

New season, new stadium, new hope - new players? Below follows my wishlist with hopefully in some way realistic targets for the summer. Five positions, 15 options. Bear with me. I’ll insert a spoiler, it'll be a long one:

I, like all of us, don’t know how much money we’ve got to spend. So first of all, we need to have an idea of how much we’ll recive from sales. And of course, transfer fees are being paid in instalments, they might be dependent on performance etc. But it gives you an idea so here it goes:

Outgoings:
Michel Vorm (free), Toby Alderweireld (£25M), Cameron Carter-Vickers (£7.5M), Serge Aurier (£20M), Kyle Walker-Peters (loan), Danny Rose (£15M), Victor Wanyama (£7.5M), Joshua Onomah (loan), George-Kevin N’Koudou (£5M), Vincent Janssen (£5M), Marcus Edwards (£5M), Mousa Dembele (£10M, Jan 2019).

This gives us around £100M from sales.

A few comments:
- Toby will leave, JJ gave us a pretty clear view on that one. A big loss, outstanding defender, but not much to do about it. Just for us to hope a club outside England snatch him.
- KWP isn’t ready, and even tough I would have no problem taking the money for Trips, I think this is the most realistic option. Hopefully a loan to PL-club, maybe to replace Clyne at Bournemouth?
- We wanted to sell Danny last summer. Been impressed by him this season, he’s still a really good LB on his day. But injuries and age makes me think it might be time. Would love to see him at Leeds.
- JJ mentioned Vic and a probability that there will be issues with a medical. Hopefully, for his sake, he can get the chance to rebuild himself in a new outfit. Immense player in his first season here and seems to be a lovely guy.
- No Eriksen? If I understood JJ correctly, Eriksen might pen a new deal if he’s not an option for Real Madrid. I don’t think he will be. They’ll go hard for Mbappe or Neymar, Hazard and a player who can come in for Modric. Zidane loves Isco, Ceballos is already there (might be better than Christian already). They will choose other options and we will be happy. Bayern might interest him, but they seem to have other targets.

With this being said, my aim would be to bring five players. Two full-backs, one Dembele-replacement, one Toby-replacement and I’d really like us to sign someone who can cover for and fight with Dele and Christian togheter with Lamela.
I’ve come up with three options per position, the dream signing, the realistic signing and the joker!

Central defender:

The dream: Mathijs De Ligt, 19
Price range: £55-65M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? No

- Definitely a dream signing. 19 years old, captains Ajax, got all attributes to be the best in his position. Seems like this ship has sailed though, Barca seems closest at the moment. He will cost a hefty fee, but will probably be worth it.

The realistic: Joachim Andersen, 22
Price range: £25M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- Feels like there is a good chance we might get our hands on this guy. Good in the build up play and with the long range passing, something Toby excels at. He's a big guy, 190 cm. Sampdoria brought him for around €1.5M in August 2017, he recently changed agency to Stellar Group (Bale's agency). His top attributes is his passing and positioning, he hasn't got a blistering speed and might need to develop his tackling. But seems like a reasonable och good signing.

The joker: Mario Hermoso, 23
Price range: £30M
Been linked? No
Realistic? No

- A player I really like. Would be a perfect replacement for Vertonghen, when that day comes. Left footed. Like Andersen and Toby, Hermoso is very good in the passing-aspect and build-up play. Both in the short and even more in the long range, he pings the ball quit similar to Toby. Has played a lot as a fullback earlier in his career, and has very good speed. One of the fastest defenders in the La Liga. Called up and played his first game for Spain this season. Real Madrid has a buy-back clause of a rumoured €15M. They should be interested, but Varane and Ramos is the best you can get. They've bought Militao from Porto for €50M and Zidane loves Nacho. He will be up for grabs and I would be delighted if we looked in to it.

Right back:

The dream: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 21
Price range: £40M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Maybe

- 21 years old but already a really good defender. Better at defense than going forward, just that makes him really interesting. Good speed, good tackling and good at blocking crosses. Will develop his passing and game going forward, but I think he's good enough and will be the starting right back for England in a couple of years. Arsenal and United will be interested.

The realistic: Max Aarons, 19
Price range: £20M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Maybe

- It looks like Norwich will be playing PL-football next season. That will probably make Aarons stay for one more season. Good speed, okay positioning and good technique. Bombs forward. Interesting to follow in the PL next season.

The joker: Youcef Atal, 22
Price range: £25M
Been linked? No
Realistic? No

- Algerian right back from Nice. The hipster choice, but man is he good. Wonderful to watch. Own his flank with his speed, great dribbling but also really good interception-ratio. Go watch som youtube-clips, this guy is good. Have not seen any credible links anywhere, but Steve Hitchen is deep into the french market isn't he?

Left back:

The dream: Ferland Mendy, 23
Price range: £35M
Been linked? No
Realistic? No

- My dream for the LB position is essentially Ben Chilwell, but he seems to be City-bound. Mendy from Lyon is not a huge step down. A better defender than his name-friend at City, and good going forward as well. Has not taken the step you thought going in to this season, and Kurzawa and Digne (two LB's who is not so good) has been in the national set-up before Mendy. I really like him, though. The feeling is that Aulas will keep him for now.

The realistic: Ryan Sessegnon, 18
Price range: £30M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- He wants to come, we want him and the price touted is way of the mark. Sounds good. The big question? Is he a LB or a winger. Poch has an amazing track record with fullbacks and he should be able to do it with Sessegnon. Some are afraid that his defensive ability is not enough, if Poch can get him to be in the right positions defensively I think we'll be fine. We've really missed the Walker/Rose tandem from three seasons ago, especially going forward. Look at Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool, weak defensively but really good going forward. Against 14 of the 20 teams in the league, Sessegnon could give us more than he takes. But we can't forget, he's 18. We need Davies to be back in top form.

The joker: Kieran Tierney, 21
Price range: £25M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- Tierney is quick, has good crosses and good defensively. Been used more offensively under Rodgers and developed a lot. More comparables to Robertson that nationality. Will Leicester pick him up as a Chilwell replacement? They might and he will be worth 50M in a couple of seasons. If we want him I reckon we'd have a good chance.

Central midfielder, box to box:

The dream: Tanguy Ndombele, 22
Price range: £60-75M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Maybe

- According to JJ we want him, we were in negatiations last summer and Aulas slapped a 75M-price on him. He has talked quite a lot about be open to sell one of their stars this summer and Ndombele will generate most money. Who's after him? Not Real, Barca or Bayern it seems. Some rumours about Juve and PSG and the Manchester clubs. Here lays the problem. I think we have a chance to sign him, if it all plays out in our way. Juve and PSG needs to go for other players, United need to keep Pogba and I think City will go for someone else as a Fernandinho replacement. What gives me hope is that there are a lot of good midfielders in the market this summer. He won't cost 75M either I reckon, more close to 60M.

The realistic: Sander Berge, 21
Price range: £20M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- Tall (193 cm), good technique, fast, good passing. Very interesting skills for a CM. I'd like a player who is more of a finished article for this position but Berge might be this player in two years and we'd be spilling our guts on SC for not signing him when having the chance.

The joker: Franck Kessie, 22
Price range: £40M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- Lots of rumours about Milan letting him go to sign Bakayoko and Milinkovic-Savic. For SMS, fine. But Bakayoko? Weird. Kessie owns a midfield with his strength and runs, similiar to the Sissoko of this season. He needs to work on his end product but has a lot of potential and I've been impressed with him this season. I think Pochettino can make him a monster.

Competition in the playmaker and AM-department:

The dream: Giovani Lo Celso, 22
Price range: £50M
Been linked? No
Realistic? No

- On loan from PSG, Betis have the option to buy for €25M. 12 goals this season, can play all midfield positions. A great passer, can replace Dembele as well as Eriksen. A real drem signing. He stays for one more season before Real or Barca go big?

The realistic: Jack Grealish, 23
Price range: £25M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- You know the story. With one more season under his belt he started slow but has got going. Seems to have a strong mentality and can play a bit deeper as well as behind the striker. Can carry the ball and passes it well. Do we circle back? Poch said no last summer, is he more interested now? Is there a clause if they don't go up, does Villa have financial problems again? Interesting to follow, I'd be happy.

The joker: Eberechi Eze, 20
Price range: £10M
Been linked? Yes
Realistic? Yes

- Found his way in QPR after having a tough time in his early to mid teens. Reads the game well, good movement but is a rough diamond. Not in the phase Maddison, Brooks or Grealish was last season but has high potential. Times are saying we've monitored him closely, don't know a lot about him but 4 goals + 4 assists in 35 games this season. Plays as a 10.

My somehow realistic wishlist for summer 2019:
Joachim Andersen (£25M), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£40M), Ryan Sessegnon (£30M), Tanguy Ndombele (£60M), Jack Grealish (£20M).

£175M, that gives us a £75M net spend. Probably not gonna happen, but one can dream...

All very well but we will not get £70m for a player with one year left on his contract; we will not get £15m for a player who will not pass a medical; and there's no way Levy will sanction a net spend of £69m.

I suspect, from JJ's comments, that if we gain a CL spot there will be a net spend of £30m-£40m. If we are in the Europa, there will probably be zero net spend. Given our financial constraints, it wouldn't surprise me if Onomah and CCV are used to replace Dembele and Alderweireld. Our prime focus has to be new fullbacks and a replacement for Eriksen.

I think we need to look at EPL players whose contracts are coming to an end. I'd definitely take Sturridge and Herrera (having a great season and a leader in the dressing room).
