Their record against teams outside the top is 0-0 v Cardiff, 0-0 v Palace, 0-2 v Leicester and 0-1 v Brighton, the last two of those at home.

I'd be very worried if I was a Geordie.

If newcastle were doing the tripple you should still be worried being a geordie.

Not racist, they're just fucked.

And who didn’t vote West Ham?

I wanted too especially with their March and April fixtures, if they are in trouble then I'll be a very happy man. the trouble is the bottom 4 at the moment don't look too good, but they have all played between 3-5 games against the top 6 teams already so things could change, unfortunately only Spam have taken points in 2 of those games. hopefully the graph shown in the laugh at spam thread comes true, as he is meant to be out for the rest of the season

Huddersfield
Fulham
Cardiff

I think Benitez will get Newcastle out of it in the end if he doesn't walk out. If not, then swap them for Fulham as they might spend some money on some defenders and strikers in January and stay up.

I'm more confident of Fulham staying up now that Ranieri's gone there. Southampton seem to be in trouble now. Hughes won't last until Christmas at this rate. I still think it's Cardiff and Huddersfield plus one other.

my wish for Fulham's relegation intensified when Ranieri took over them...

Huddersfield must be gone.

Fulham look like joining them.

Southampton and Cardiff are showing some fight now. I'm starting to think Brighton could be in trouble.

Brighton looked ok against Burnley, but their keeper had one of those.performances.

Fulham defo for me. They cannot defend, they are just too poor at the back to be saved. I can't see any amount of coaching helping at this latest stage. They look better, marginally under the Italian.

I think Cardiff have enough grit and organisation to pinch a safe spot.

Every team from 13 to 18 is in decent form right now, or at least playing better than previously this season, apart from Brighton. So that's a concern for them.

Really think the Sala tragedy will help push Cardiff to safety, the whole club has something to really fight for now. You saw that with the late late winner yesterday. Southampton have had a mini blip but I think Hasenhuttl will steer them the right way, even if they're 18th now.

Despite playing well and Heaton having one of those games yesterday, it is Brighton and Chrissy H I fear most for atm.

Brighton have been guilty of trying to play football. They played some.nice stuff vs Burnley.

I think their main aim is now survival and going back to what Chris H is best at, a defensive and cagey game.

It's really hard to call for.that last spot. I think Fulham and hudders' are finished though. But any of those still in the 25 point mark are fair game. Newcastle, I just think that they have too canny a manager. Between Southampton and Cardiff for me. But as i said above, I think Cardiff have enough resilience to live to see another season.

Huddersfield and Fulham both gone already.

Cardiff look most likely to join them, but they've still got to play Burnley, Brighton and Fulham.

Brighton play Cardiff next weekend. I think Cardiff could stay up if they win it. Brighton have an awful last few games including us, Arsenal, City and Wolves.

Cardiff-Brighton will be the defining game. Cardiff win that and Brighton will be sucked right into the scrap. Brighton draw and I think they'll have just enough to keep them clear, Brighton win and Cardiff are all but down.

Sounds about right. Cardiff still have Fulham to come so if they beat Brighton they'll have another winnable game soon after. If they lose they're done.

I was saying a few weeks ago in the other thread that I was fearing for Brighton, they had started plummeting and have picked up very few points since the turn of the year. I know Hughton is a Spurs man, and they're not established at this level yet, but I wouldn't feel much sympathy for them. I don't think they've bought particularly well and the football is proper negative and a bit lower league.

Huge win for Cardiff tonight.

Brighton are in huge trouble now. They've got Wolves, us, Newcastle, Arsenal and City left. I think they'll be lucky to get three points out of those games.
Cardiff have got Liverpool, Palace, Fulham and United. They should beat Fulham, while Palace could go either way. It's going to be tight.

hoping for a survival Sunday and championship Sunday... would be great to see 2 teams battling it out at the top and 2 at the bottom.
Massive 3 points for Cardiff. kinda lucky too. but sometimes u need the luck in these games.

Looks like Cardiff are gone. They really needed to beat Fulham to stay up.

Warnock apparently set them up to defend for 80 minutes and when he made a change after Fulham scored he didn't bring on Bobby Reid, their second top scorer (admittedly only with four goals).

Really weird considering they had to win, even a point wasn't going to be good enough. Fulham had all the play and all the chances apart from when Cardiff hit the bar in injury time.
