I’ll call it park lane

Those big flags people wave look false to me. Not a spurs thing.

Will be happy with the old chant park lane/shelf side but that’s not going to happen now with the pricing in the east.

Will see what happens, we will find a way in spite of the odd sit downers texting the fan helpline because fans around them are trying to get some atmosphere in the south stand going.

the funny thing is I drove past it last Sunday, coming from seven sisters, and was quite shocked it wasn't to noticeable from a distance, and even though it dwarfs the OWHL I expected it to be so much higher

And Palace fans, by the way, are doing it right.

They have an Eagle fly around the ground before games, we can't possibly compete with that - dipping a cockerel in white wash and throwing it on to the pitch? Bit shit.

Thing about them big murals is that it takes a bit of co-operation among the fans. Spending an hour in the Matchday thread suggests to me that we would find this incredibly difficult. I'm all up for a giant flag-thing though, one to float over the top of the stand before the match, maybe have it on a spool at the top so it can be wound up like a massive roller blind.

Yeah, and for performances like the one against Watford, we can swap it out for a black-out blind (y)

Don't they do it with cards or something? They leave a card of a particular colour on the seat and then everyone lifts them at once or somesuch...? I've always wondered about how they get it coordinated...

You can, but the bottom bit (below where the wheelchair bays are) looks like it's effectively going to be a standing area so if your daughter's short she might struggle to see.

Okay, we could argue all day about the name but I've kept the 'K' word in to show I'm talking about the new stand. So how are we going to use this visually? We've seen Dortmund and Liverpool both use the stand to have some great displays. Will we have the huge flags, banners, messages, pictures? Or will we just say this is lame and pass up on the opportunity?

Personally I like them. But last time we tried a banner it met with Health and Safety restrictions and ended up looking a bit shit.

For the opening home game yes we should do something like this. Would look great, good photo opportunity and might attract some new fans.
