I get the impression that a massive financial deal fell through; perhaps the naming rights in September?

I know that the Daily Star reckoned we were in negotiations with HSBC, but I couldn't find another source backing this up...and it is the Daily Star lol

Anyway, whatever the issue, the financial muscle that Hercules predicted hasn't come to pass so I think something changed.
More at home to discuss in here. I think the fact the stadium has no opening date has hindered this. And as a result the money we budgeted in the summer/Jan has probably been pegged back till it's signed.

Either way the stay at Wembley etc has fucked us in terms of reinforcements. Poch and the squad have done an amazing job considering.

Sounds to me that they are choosing one or more from several respectable categories to get ideas. The good thing is that we don't see any middle Eastern airlines or oil companies in your list. Was there anything like that ?
I have no problems with most Eastern Airlines or Oil Companies. I wont generalize

I would love for a car manufacturer to become the naming rights sponsor. Don't care too much which one, but I think Hyundai might be an option, since they already have a presence in football sponsoring, although it is through FIFA for the World Cup. Them being a Korean company, maybe we would be an interesting club, especially with Son on our team.

My proposed stadium name would then be: Hyundai Lane

They could have their marketing slogan actually be " Get in the Hyundai Lane".

No idea if this is accurate but Richard Keys claims it’s going to the ‘Nike Stadium’

Don't pronounce the E and call it Nike Hart Lane
I've never pronounced the E as EE anyway. Always thought that the yanks call it Nikee but over here we call it Nike.
I'm probably wrong though!
