I think he’s done well so far. He’s progressive, comfortable with the ball at his feet and crosses well. Give him a year or two to learn the more adept arts of defending and he could be an excellent regular for us
I also think he's done well so far, particularly given his lack of starting XI minutes.
But actually I don't think he's been great at crossing and he's mixed up his feet on the ball a couple of times when under pressure.

Hope he can prove his quality with this extended run in the team.

I might be getting ahead of myself, but I can definitely see a few games this season where we play a Sessegnon, Sanchez, Foyth, KWP back line.

Not maybe as first choice or in the big games, but in a 'welcome to the future' way. So much potential in those guys but also plenty to learn.

Still, some steady heads on the training ground to educate them. Wonder if this is what all the slightly random contract wrangling is about at the mo?

KWP > AARONS. Just want to get that out there. For me KWP is potentially best right back at the club taking into consideration the full package of the modern full/wingback.

KWP is not the best right back at the club. Serge is better, as he should be with the amout of experience he has.

He has done better than what I expected though.

KWP was all over the place in the 1st half against City, and had some miss placement in their goal. He didn't look like a starting RB for a team that need trophies, but to be fair, most of our squad was all over the place. He was better in the 2nd but that's when City slowed down and Sterling wasn't going at him everytime.

Let's not pretend RB is not a problem anymore for us. It's still a huge problem.

I said KWP is keyword 'potentially' the best right back at the club. Based on his overall skill sets.

Sterling is one of the top 10 best players in world football people have to recognise this. KWP got better during the game.

Anyway I feel we are now very strong at right back...it'll be very interesting to see where Pochettinho plays Foyth

KWP struggled a lot against City, but his teammates gave him little to no help so he's not solely at fault.

We need to give KWP more games to be honest, at least up until the international break, it's now or never for him to develop with us, neither we nor he can afford another season of 3-4 starts. Aurier had the african cup of nations so we can ease him back in when the double game weeks start if we want him to be apart of the squad.

He's very mature on the ball - against teams sitting deep against us I actually think he's a strong option.

Against the top 6, however, I'd feel safer with Foyth sitting in and just marshalling their LW.

Still a position of concern but I don't think we'd be too fucked with those two covering for each other depending on the game.

And in all fairness to KWP, the entire team struggled against City. They out played us in every way. Had umpteen chances and could have beaten us by about 6 goals. It’s a minor miracle we got out of that with a point. Best for everyone that we just put that match behind us.

Don't rate him. Physically so weak, 22 years old but built like a 16 year old. Gets bundled over so easily. Don't see any real ability to take on someone with any real purpose.

Honestly I don’t see the hype either. If he wasn’t an academy product I doubt he’d be getting the easy ride he is on here.

I just don’t see what he offers to the team that Trippier didn’t.

Every time he got the ball today, he slowed it down. Time and again he’d receive the ball on the wing and take too many touches allowing Newcastle to set their defence up. I don’t recall seeing him making any runs out wide either.

He wasn’t alone in slowing down the play, but I’ve noticed it from him during his other (albeit) rare appearances.

I don’t think he’s good enough, frankly, he reminds me of Kyle Naughton, and that isn’t a good thing.

Spot on to be fair. I’m willing to give him time because A we have no one else and B he’s academy project who’s waited very patiently for about 4-5 seasons for his chance so certainly not going to write him off just yet BUT agree with all of the above and don’t think he is or will the be required level we need in a top top class RB. But let’s see.

He was hung out to dry a couple of times yesterday when in possession and nobody came to help him out. Symptomatic of the team at the moment. Nobody seems to want to fight for eachother

Sissoko and Alderweireld were baby sitting him, in case the wind blew him over.
This meant Toby couldn't play LCB nor moussa play more centrally and drive through the the lines.

If KWP was our RB plan for this season, he should have got more game time last season. Instead we had game after game of an indifferent Trippier, who knew he was leaving.

KWP has been thrown in the deep end and it is just appalling man management.

We ask our fullbacks to do too much in build up play when we are passing out of the back because our central midfielders pass off responsibility. KWP and Rose too often receive the ball in poor positions and are asked to beat a man 15 yards inside our own half, it’s the dumbest thing.

Until we play with a recognised DM the full backs will continue to struggle. They are not being given the protection to get forward the way we used to allow Walker and Rose to.

Play Dier there who will drop in to give them more freedom and I think we will start to see more positive performances

His senior career at spurs has been a series of poor management decisions. No loans, no game time after playing well and others poorly etc.

And to think some people were happy with us having him and Foyth as our only right backs this season ?

Kyle Naughton was a good RB who constantly got the shitty end of the stick by being shoved onto the left, ironically at a time when no one looked good there.

If we continue to have a stream of good players who all look bad in the same position, despite being good in that position, it speaks volumes for the players around them.
