Just watched the Tranmere Spurs game again and KWP is the first to congratulate Llorente after each goal. He really is high up the pitch.

KWP needs to leave. Would love him to succeed here but he won't get the chance for a run in the team unless all our full backs are injured. I am seeing nothing from RBs in our team. We need energy.

Thought was one of our best players today, except for his stupid penalty. Recovered well after big mistake, same as the Barcelona game. Good going forward, and very speedy stopping Zaha on a few occasions. Evidently, needs to play right back not on the left - duh

It’s so frustrating to see Trippier start instead of him, today like always when he plays LB he’s being limited because he has to take the ball to his right foot if he wanted to cross

Needs to be our first choice RB for the remainder of the season, him and Rose starting every game now that we're only left in two competitions. Give him an extended run in the team and focus purely on his development. If he thrives, fantastic. If he struggles, at least he's been given a proper chance and we can (in theory...) recruit in the summer.

Thought he done well overall and was a good outlet although you could clearly see he was a right back playing left back as he had to cut inside every time. Would like to see him get an extended run at right back to see what he’s like with the rhythm that comes with it.

I was a bit harsh by saying he should have been subbed immediately but that handball was ridiculous and i hope it doesnt indicate he’s gonna be another one of our brain fart fullbacks.

Just saw Jenas’s explanation of the penalty and it doesn’t sound so stupid now.

If you didn’t hear it, he said he did what players , particularly shorter players I think, do when the go up in front of a tall forward for the ball. They put their hand up to obscure the forward’s view of the ball, but he misjudged the flight of the ball and it hit his hand, but he didn’t go for the ball itself which is what it looked like to most of of us.

So a bad misjudgement, but not the inexplicable, idiotic brain dump that I initially thought it was.

We can talk about ‘apart from the penalty’ but those sort of handballs are the most mind-numbingly stupid things you can see in football.

Strikes me that he would likely cost a goal a game through mistakes. Which is a shame

Again. Another player who I don’t think is ready. He’s the best of the bunch of kids but it’s not saying much. Two bad mistakes in his last two starts.

Cut him some slack!
Guy is quality. I personally believe, deferred by the gaffa, I could live with him instead of Tripps, with the odd mistake, which he will learn from than Tripps, who hasn’t stopped making them.

Had an average game with a headless chicken moment, although I don't think he's helped by being played on the left in games like this. He clearly prefers the right & I think he should be given games at RB to build up his confidence. When he is confident & feels like a Prem players then use him on the left if you have to.

Only to be played at RB ever. Should not be exposed on the left by Poch that is poor management imo.

Do you have any information why Poch doesn’t play him? Very weird considering the amount of times he’s signed a contract and how poor Trippier been

The important thing is how he responded. I thought second half he didn't hide and he kept going and improving as it went on. Plenty of players have hidden or gone on to have horrendous games after that.

I'm firmly in the 'he needs to be given a real shot at RB' camp'.
