I get what he's saying just not why he's saying it. Haven't seen anyone say bournmouth were poor. All the pundits etc... have said that we have been fantastic the last two games. The post he quoted was a fair enough question. If you asked were arsenal good today the answer would be they were awful but they got a point. You cannot tell how a game went from the scorline.

The answer was no they played ok. Were better than us before our first goal and lloris played well to keep them out.
You didn’t read his post baz.

“So it’s not like the opposition were top notch/on their game today.”

Doesn’t have to be pundits/commentators saying it, but there’s always someone out there claiming that we’ve won because the opposition were having an off day/were poor/didn’t turn up. Generally it’s bitter opposition fans, but you can pretty much guarantee that someone on this site will chirp up with the same tired old tosh.

The poster asked a fair question that deserved a fair answer. Not a rant about what opposition fans might or might not say about us. Who really cares? Are you expecting them to be fawning all over us? No they hate us and will slag us off at every opportunity. Expecting a different reaction is naive. The poster asked on a spurs forum whether the opposition played well not on rawk.

I was particularly talking about their left hand side (KWP's direct opposition); if they had been better they would have hurt us as most of their good chances came down that side. Daniels was terrible for them. Frazer got to create a bit too much down that side for me, which I said already.

IMO Bournemouth as a whole weren't great, but that was largely down to their poor fortune with the first 2 goals, then the quick 3rd knocked the heart out of most of them. 3-0 half time is hard to come back from for any away side and tbf they did show a bit of fight.

For KWP, 3 assists are a great stat, but not one of them was a particularly easy finish for the scorer...the 3rd assist was clearly the best of the bunch and the most direct contribution to the actual goal scored.

I disliked your post because you replied to it directly without even seeing the match or KWP's performance.

Alright rant was way too harsh. I agree that we can make teams look poor through our own good play, but sometimes the opposition are just woeful. I don't think bournemouth were that bad today they made some mistakes and we mercilessly punished them. At 3-0 the game was done. We were very good it wasn't because the opposition didn't turn up.

Edit - having said all that the motd pundits did make it sound like it was because bournemouth didn't turn up. But they just watch highlights and not the whole of games so i don't pay them attention much anyway.

Did you think Bournemouth were good?

I haven’t seen the game but usually Bournemouth are a very decent side who are well set up for each match. So were we that good that we made them look poor ? Or perhaps they just had an off day ? They seemed to have a couple of good early chances but these things happen in football and it is what separates the clubs. Those that take their chances are the teams with the better finishers. We are currently blessed with 5 or 6 quality finishers (Son, Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Moura etc). Bournemouth have .............

Because we don't need them all as we also have dier and jan that can play rb and lb respectfully. It would free up a squad place and we could use the money to strengthen else where.

Agree, its a luxury to have them all though. Definitely sell aurier if thats the case

Personally I would still like to upgrade on Davies. Love Rose when on form but I still worry about how Injury probe he is.

Agree. Davies is good but not good enough. A consistent rose is a bonafide starter but would love someone who can genuinely take his place without missing a beat

was looking through the comments on his last instagram post and noticed that aurier gave him a big congratulations, i really like how our players all seem to genuinely support each other even when they're in direct competition.

Squad rotation means Trippier will come back in. I think Poch is doing well with rotating. Almost textbook FM style
