Good stuff. Always found when I hadn't played for a while the first round was really good because your not thinking about too much. Normally after that it gets more challenging again

Couldn't get a ticket for Fulham as the loyalty points have gone nuts!! Played Sunday as well, 6 over front nine, -1 back nine

Do love the new pick n place rules....

I like the new flag in rule when you putt. It really speeds up play especially at the moment when it's cold and a bit damp too. Although I find it a bit distracting it can be beneficial

Yep love the flag in rule because as a kid I always played with the flag in when practicing because it was so mush quicker.Got so used to it I believe that's why I'm a very good long range putter but not as good from 4 foot in

I will get some funny looks asking people to put the pin back in when I've now got a 4 footer in a comp!!

spent the morning restoring my old clubs for my son who wants to learn. I played for about 15 years before I figured out how much I hated it. Havent played in almost 20 years. I suppose if Id started younger I might have been decent and enjoyed it more but by the time I started I was working all the time and had a young family so never had the time to practice.

Played again last Sunday. Another winter rules so non counting for my handicap. Parred the first after lipping out for birdie, birdied the 2nd after pitching right beside the hole on the par 3, almost a hole in one which would have been my first. After that it was up and down but had a triple bogey in there and got to the turn at 4 over. Steadied again with a par, some bogeys and one birdie but finished off very sloppily with another triple and a double finished 12 over. Very disappointing but at least it wasn't counting toward my handicap I guess.

Two ridiculous putts from Pepperell and Vegas a few moments ago. 1 out of the 2 would have been incredible but both from those ranges was outrageous

When you think what he has achieved and then realise he's just 29...the next ten years should be extremely fruitful for him.

He's in great form, and between him and DJ I don't think there's a golfer who hits it better or longer than them. His iron play was fantastic all week this week, it normally is, but he's backing it up with his short game now too.

Mentality has always been the issue for Rory I believe. If he gets that right he will win a lot of majors in the next decade.

That's a pretty decent return for someone coming back to the game, what did you use to play off? 6 or 7 ish?

I'm having a nightmare on the winter greens at the moment, I shot 31 points in Sunday's competition, 41 putts. Yes you read that right. 41.

Ye 7 was my lowest handicap. I've been down to the practice ground a good bit recently though so it's helped me not be so rusty when I play.

I feel your pain, I’ve got a decent nine hole close to me and three putted five holes, one of them was on a par three after plonking it four foot from the pin off the tee...

Played again this morning. Solid enough but again 4 sloppy holes. 6 over for 14 otherwise. Need to sharpen up my short game before the good weather and hard and fast greens kick in. Must have had 33 or 34 putts today. So frustrating..

Had my most solid round so far this year yesterday and still came off the 18th disappointed. Finished 8 over with an 80. Was going along nicely after 8 holes 3 over. Birdied the 9th and made some nice up and downs after the turn to get to 4 over after 15. Bogeyed the last 2 and doubled the last to miss out on breaking 80. Lipped out with 2 putts on the 17th and 18th.

Just need to stop myself thinking about my score until the last putt on the 18th.

Off to St Andrews next week for a couple of rounds, went in 2017 and shot 80 on the Old Course so on a hiding to nothing trying to better that, especially with how I am swinging currently!

Mad that Corey Conners only qualified for it on Sunday by winning the Texas open and he's currently leading now
