During the pit walk Brundle and Button spoke with Jennifer Saunders and Gerri Halliwell and completely ignored Adrian Edmondson.
As they walked away Button says "that was the dude from Bottom". Lol

Lol, and I haven't seen a single Mclaren despite there being two of them on track. That team seems to go from shite to worse every year these days.

At least McLaren has ambition. They have no idea what they are doing but they have a desire to improve. Williams seems content with being the new Minardi.

Not seen the race yet, but BBC have up that Hamilton has been pulled in by the stewards and his win could be taken away from him!

Lewis Hamilton could lose his victory in the German Grand Prix after being summoned by stewards to explain a driving misdemeanour.

The Mercedes driver aborted a pit stop to change tyres under a late-race safety car and cut across the grass to rejoin the track and take the lead.

F1 rules prohibit cars entering the pit lane from crossing the line separating the pit entry and the track.

The only thing I can see that doesn't make sense is they are talking about a rule for a car entering the pit lane.... But he didn't go into the pits and went back onto the track (off course which I would guess takes longer over grass).

Did not see that one coming !!!
Assume that will start the Dominoes falling, Sainz to McLaren possibly first, Gasly promoted to Red Bull senior team.

Renault must be really confident about their 2019 car. Ricciardo vs Hulkenberg in a decent car could be a fascinating watch.

It'll all begin now. It's just like the football transfer window. Just takes one name to go and they all fall.

Sainz has been courted by McLaren, now Vandoorne has been disappointing against Alonso. So Sainz in for Vandoorne? But their academy driver is a) very good and b) making a lot of noises. Norris has been approached by other teams and may sign if McLaren don't back him up. So Sainz and Norris for McLaren?

Alonso to Indy is the likeliest option, especially after McLaren have indicated they would enter a team for him and, seemingly, allow him to continue his dual championship alongside WEC.

BUT

Could Alonso engineer a swan song season alongside Verstappen at RBR? RBR are happy for drivers to race and he's matured greatly since racing alongside Hamilton in '07. But RBR typically promote.

Conclusion, really think Riciardo has made a big mistake here. He's gone down the Alonso 'long game' route, but as we've seen, Merc & Ferrari look set to dominate for years.

Alonso to retire from F1 at the end of the season.

So three British drivers in F1 next season, which is really cool. Pity two of them will be pootling around in crap teams at the back of grid. Good way to start though.
