Worried about the NFL links to a team that is potentially being touted as becoming a London franchise which we would want based at WHL!

Two questions spring to mind immediately.

What would Fulham want with a stadium that size?

What would the FA do with £800m? National stadium in the midlands?

Ok, that’s 3 questions.

If true, and the Fulham owner whom already owns an NFL team acquires said stadium. I wonder how that would impact on our long term plans regarding the possibility of eventually having an NFL team use our new stadium as a home base.

I know we're committed already to hosting some NFL matches in new stadium, but is there still a belief that we may actually be seeking a team to use stadium as their home base for entire season in the future.

Supposedly it's earmarked for grassroots football and new all-weather pitches. The FA keep the income from Club Wembley and offload the running costs.

Fulham won't play there. They can't even fill the Cottage.

Every time the FA says the phrase ‘money for grassroots’ another grey suit gets richer.

we have a 10 year deal with the NFL.
For Khan, as Jag owner, they would play a load of games at Wembley but other teams could still use the new Lane

Yep, my 'supposedly' was with a raised eyebrow. If they are to sell Wembley, knocking the old one down and rebuilding this has been a shambles. So expensive to do that, and create a stadium that most fans don't seem to like, has no character (unlike the old one), looks empty on TV because of the hospitality, they've made it expensive to go to showpiece games and haven't been able to host a major tournament in England either. Then sell it to an overseas owner so he can plonk an NFL team there.

However, good that the England team can play at other venues. Maybe it will mean the FA Cup Semis can go back to neutral league grounds as well.

They have had an offer and are obliged to formally discuss said offer, but as yet there is little to see here.
I personally seriously doubt the FA will sell the National Stadium.

Jags would have to ratify a move to Wembley with the NFL - and when the NFL already have a deal in place with us, it's highly unlikely a move would be approved.
Permanant, guaranteed money in the NFL > renting a stadium for 2 games a year. The penalties to cancel would be pennies on the dollar next to a permamant NFL home

Shahid Khan owns Jacksonville Jaguars and he want a broader option for venues to play in located in London. Nothing about Fulham FC moving to Wembley.
