Tell that to Fergie back in the day.

And that is one of many, many reasons why England did so poorly in that era. The FA really should have stook up to it. Want to pull out with an "injury"? Fine, but then you won't be considered come the Euros or World Cup. Give the chance to people actually passionate about playing for the country. Simples.

Great. So our players who are only just back from injury, get to risk their fitness playing shit games for a shit team in a shit competition.

International football needs to be put out of its misery.

I don't think we need to be that negative, we have had periods in the past where an international break has kickstarted our season back up. I doubt Rose/Trippier will really get much of a look-in now and Dele/Dier need minutes.

TV ratings suggest otherwise. 2bn watched Euro 2016 and over 3.5bn watched the 2018 World Cup.

No interest in international games. Players moan about not getting a winter break but get plenty if not selected for country! Bigger attendance at local matches when no PL. I'll be going to Prescot Cables on sat and again in cup Tue night. Fuck England !!
