So, the thread about what those mugs over the road, are saying has gone slightly danny dyer.

The hooligan culture has been around for decades now, many here im sure have been caught up in it (intentionaly or otherwise). It was called the british disease and i think im right in saying that we were the ones who first exported it to europe...

As much of a peeenarse as he is, danny dyers real football factories is quite interesting, especially the one abroad. Its amazing how far people take it.

How many of you have been caught up in it? I think im right in thinking we have some members who were in that pub against lazio? Also, hearing about the trouble in islington the other night, has it never really gone away but just got abit more underground? or is it just the european clubs now? Like it or loathe it, it still is part of the game, all around the world and still gets headlines.

Seems like a continental issue to me these days.
The only time I've encountered trouble is with Chelsea fans. I witnessed gangs of them after the game threatening to stab a woman and her 10 year old son and telling some OAP Spurs fan they were going to give him a kicking when they got off the train.
Real scum bag fans Chelsea have.

Yep-only proper trouble I've seen has been at Chelsea games too, minor things at some games but the Chelsea ones by far the worst.

A couple of mates were caught up by the wanker police in Seville a few yrs back. I guess that's an direct consequence that is still being felt 30 yrs later. English grad students who barely have enough strength in their pipe-cleaner arms to lift their frappuccinos to their mouths are viewed as a good target for riot police.

TBF Anyone who looks like they can get beaten up are targets for the Spanish police. Second most violent police force in Western Europe (after France).

Spanish police are a fucking disgrace, just thugs with a badge.

Worst I've been involved with was Notts county vs Forest in some random pub in nottingham. I was visiting a mate and none of us realised what was going to happen, it was literally like a wild west bar brawl with people throwing glasses/chairs etc. I hid behind the bar lol.

They certainly didn't have anything good to say about them. Some Sevilla fans came to their aid actually. Helped them out a fair bit after the match too. Credit to them.
