Did one of our fans do it?

No idea. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a local. Rough old place and when you turn up like they do, I can see one of the locals kicking off... That said it may be one of ours. No doubt we will find out soon.

I was in the cafe where it happened outside, someone said they thought it was a West Ham fan that stabbed someone but there's no way they could have been confident of that. Whoever it was should be fucking ashamed of themselves as well as them "fans" who tried to cause trouble at the Bricklayers.

As if the Police and Stewards didn't have enough on their hands today, imagine if a bomb had gone off whilst Police were dealing with either of them incidents, don't care if they were Spurs or West Ham, scum whoever it was.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Yeah quite a few were, Enfield is mainly Spurs anyway so it's logical I suppose, there were a few West Ham, Millwall and Chelsea as well,
I'd definitely go again, the atmosphere created was brilliant, the bar's subsidised so dirt cheap, and you can just stand behind the goal, pint in hand, shouting at the opposition goalie every time the ball goes near him to put him off.
There was a drummer like the one that used to go to Spurs, they had all their own songs, some of which were bloody funny, and although the fanbase was made up mainly of what looked like psychopaths, it never really got aggressive or nasty.

I agree with u that the lower leagues are where it's at...most of Chelsea's old boys now go to Barnet.
Did you bump into the Wealdstone raider?

What went on at the brickies today?

About 6 west ham threw the sign in, then jumped up and down at the entrance. One got kinda in (you know just after the doors but before the second set) then got chucked out by the bouncers. They then closed the shutters locking us in, while a bunch of our fans waited to run out at them.

All in all pretty pathetic. They had a chance to run into the pub and do damage but they just jumped around outside instead. My brother got hit with a beer that spurs fans were throwing at the door way....while the shutter was down lol.

I hope for his sake it wasn't Carling, nobody deserves that.

Not unusual at all. In Amsterdam the year before I got nicked and one of the geezers I was locked up with for two nights was Chelsea. I was from south London/north surrey and had quite a few Cheslea mates. There were loads of us from round the area Richmond, Addlestone, Walton, Staines, Wraysbury etc etc and this was also a big area for Cheslea. Sometimes it was a problem (Top Chelsea boys like Mugsy and Lordy were from round the same way and I remember it all kicked off big time once at a club in New Malden whose name I forget now) but a lot of the time we'd team up for the crack of away days. I don't know if you remember that infamous game when Chelsea played at Brighton and it went right off, the copper getting jiffed etc (that's what we used to call it - it was basically a vics synex squirter filled with olbas oil) but there was about 35 Spurs in the Chelsea mob that day.

We also used to get the odd Hammer knocking around with us. One of them was called Jimmy Noble and I swear he actually looked the spitting image of Mark Noble the West Ham player and to this day I wonder if he was his dad or something.

I was 15/16 when most of this started going on and was never one of the fearless fuckers, like the majority of us, just happen to grow up with a few that were and found myself amongst it. 95% of the time it was bravado and bollocks.
Liked your post, but.....Mugsy and Lordy were never top Chelsea boys! Mugsy was a midget, Lordy was a foot soldier at best. Chemies was the wine bar in New Maldon where we destroyed Chelsea. Jimmy Noble is Spurs, still is and always has been. Dont remember the Brighton game, but I do remember our firm turning out at Wimbledon v Portsmouth, that was fun.
