So just over 3 hours for someone to be signed and available for tomorrow....?

AJ is Def bullet dodged. Wondering where Sunderland are getting all their ££ from?

from Irish developers and backers. I used to work for a large Irish housing developer and we went to Paris for the day and Niall Quinn was there with the bosses talking footy. This was before he took over Sunderland. FWIW Niall is a really cool chap, down to earth and quite funny. Plus the dude has a decent voice, they were all singing Irish songs and he did a few solo songs

Just been listening to an interview with Bassong on Talkshite. From Norwich's first interest in him to signing took 3 weeks. The wheels seem to grind far more slowly than we realise or like.

In all fairness, most level headed people here realise that these transfers take a lot of effort and time (apart from Paolo!).

NOT INFO I HAVE RECEIVED FROM MY LOVER!!!!

BUT.....

I am being told that Moutinho has made it abundantly clear to Porto that he wishes to join Spurs. The guy who told me this has very good links to portugal and says he is almost certain that he will be a spurs player Sept 1st

If VDV leaves it'll be back to Germany! You get the impression he loves it too much here and the only reason to leave would be for personal reasons... I will be bleak but can accept it if it's for his family! He's not going to United

base on what i think it is. we MUST be signing an expensive striker and cm then. all these dawson leaving, vdv leaving are contributing to the pool of money that we are about to spent.. with only the sales of modric, the pool is only around 35m which is not enough to cover that two players..if we manage to get rid of the rest, then we have gathered approximately 60m(with modric sales). clearly 20 - 25 is spent on 1 striker while the other 20 - 25 is on another cm. It gotta be llorente/leandro + moutinho. that leaves us around 10 - 20 million left.

with this amount of money we can get 1 or 3 players, depending on how much we spent already on that two. we will definitely spend on a wing cover, which seems to be willian currently. then we move on, with parker, sandro, livermore, mout, jenas and hudd. ideally in a 3 man midfield rotation,5-6 men is required. with hudd already gone, either 1 of jenas or livermore will determine the incoming of mvila.

if none of the CM leaves, hopefully we have enough cash to stump up for lloris.

If we sign Moutinho, I will run through Tesco's naked, pointing at my old chap whilst dancing in front of old ladies shouting 'you get more than clubcard points with this sausage'. I don't care what the magistrate said the last time. I'll do it again.

Cheers for the info! (y)

Sounds encouraging but the fact remains, Porto are asking far too much and certainly more than we would be prepared to fork out i'm sure but if Moutinho does try to force the move somewhat then maybe all parties can come to some agreement - deadline day me thinks!

Re the Goat's info on Adam Johnson ...along with possessing less work rate than Bale.

While I agree on not being bothered about AJ, I wouldn't call Bale lazy?

The ground that he covers during a match and at a high intensity is amazing.

His engine from first to the last minute is one of his great strengths. Don't get me wrong when you play the game like he does, there are periods where he needs to take a breather, but I wouldn't question his work rate?

It makes me wonder why we bought Siggy in a way (don't get wrong, still happy we signed him - he'll be good alright)

I would of preferred to keep VDV and just used most of the Modric money to get Moutinho...because no matter what way you look at it - Modric and VDV are better than Moutinho and Sig (on the ball anyway)

The other two are better off it, fit the pressing game well and still possess similar levels of quality, albeit not quite at the same level.

We might be better balanced this way but....

... or Porto's President will do a Levy on him and tell him to sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up and forget about it.

There are no Irish developers involved in the club. They sold up to the American who know owns the club hence why Niall was removed as chairman & now has no involvement.

I'd move VdV alongside Sandro against the weaker teams

Walker----Kaboul-----Verts------BAE
----------VdV----Sandro--------------
Lennon-------Sig---------------Bale
----------------Ade------------------

Hearing we need to sell before we by MOutinho hopefully means just sell Modric. Why would we need to sell Modric and VDV to move for Moutinho? Doesnt make sense.
I was full of optimism yesterday. Today I have that pre interview/exam sickly feeling in the pit of my stomach that this transfer window is going to end in disaster for us either in midfield by selling Modric and not replacing, or missing out on an additional striker.

I dont want that Berbatov/Frazier Campbell feeling ever again on deadline day.

I was under the impression irish developers ran out of ££ years ago when the recession hit never mind spunking ££ on some football club in the middle of nowhere.
