Loans anyone? With obligation to buy?

Touch & go, due to timeline. That is message I received. I know couple of the players I think they are, and shared that privately.
Could be good especially in positions we are currently weak due to injury/WC.

Do you really think Poch, couple of days before a match is going to give confidence he is happy with the squad, and believe we will buy that? Really?
Why wouldn’t we believe our manager ?

Sounds like everyone will project their own beliefs onto him anyway.

I'll be surprised if he kicks off actually, seems above that, a 'behind closed doors kinda guy'. But I wouldn't blame him.

Hercs I love you but English can’t be your first language
It makes sense after a couple of reads. Basically do you think Poch thinks he can go into a press conf and expect everyone to believe him if he says he's happy with the squad

Edit: tbh my version makes less sense than Hercules'

Trouble is that because we don't really know what the transfer policy has been this window and clearly we won't find out for sure, that's what causes more frustration.

I'm pretty sure all that would do would set an agreed price with the selling club. Technically any bid could be matched by another club, a bit like what happened when we signed Toby and Southampton got the hump. So if any club come in with the same bid as our agreed future price and was the player's preferred option then we'd lose them.

We'd need to lock it in contractually that after the loan no club could match our bid.
I thought that was loan with an option to buy not an obligation to buy? could be wrong though

Definitely don't think that we should be wasting money on dross just to placate the fans but Levy did say that the stadium wouldn't affect transfers.

I don’t think anyone wants dross!

They want well thought out, well planned signings of one or two elite potential players to complement a great squad but one that has clearly hit or is close to its ceiling in the most competitive league in the world.l

the highest paid chairman in the league couldn’t deliver a single signing - Most people would be sacked in their roles for such abject failure if paid so handsomely

That's my take away - with no transparency (not that I am saying we're entitled to actually know) then how can you make a clear judgement?

I think some money is there, but it seems from what poch said himself, and Itk's, we're only going to spend on players that improve us, and promote from within when possible, that way we won't get stuck with the likes of Jansens/GKN etc (although it confuses me why we let the likes of Bennets and Griffiths go to top teir european sides if that was the case).

I'm sure we will hear more from itk's and press in the coming weeks, but it seems we're being priced out by clubs with ridiculous prices for their players (purely speculation mind you) like Grealish and Sessengson. Whether we stump up the cash for those players is another debate really for another thread.

Good point about letting Bennetts leave if we planned on playing the youth Griffiths was out of our control i think

We have failed him this window - simple as that.

He has given Levy Champions League football and a title challenging team, as well as his loyalty when he could have left for Madrid, and it's been thrown back in his face.

IF we pull a phoenix from the flames lads, let's hope it's cause for celebrations rather than commiserations.

"Mess around and fail to get any of Poch's targets then throw any opportunistic last-minute crap at him hoping he reluctantly accepts one of them"

I'm sure Donna will spin that appropriately :p

It doesn't matter I suppose, we've signed no one and that speaks volumes. As a great man once said, "In the book of life there are no words, only actions"

im fairly sure the club doesn't have any money to spend more than 20 million on player. Just a lot of post season spin put out by spurs to get ticket sales in.
Lack of player sales just compounded the empty bank account

hope poch can manage this period as well as wenger did
