Janssen was 5/2 to stay with Spurs.

Easy money.

Now I've said that there'll be a story about him being on a late deal sheet :D

It was all a cunning plan. If we don't sign anyone then Danny Rose doesn't have to google any names...

Get in there! Another first for Spurs.

Join us when we open the Summer ITK forums as we go for the treble and an unprecedented third straight transfer window without making a signing :D

You’re got me all excited. I’ll be absolutely fuming if we sign anyone inthe summer.

So to summarize the little ITK we've had today, Herc said that Poch is "happy with his lot", certain senior players (perhaps unexpected ones) will be sold this summer, and we will hopefully have a "freshening up" of players this summer. That pretty much matches up with JJ saying that the committee didn't want to panic buy and that this summer was always the plan.

I certainly hope that that is true. I know many are worried about top four, but for some reason I am pretty confident of this group. Something seems different to me this year - the late goal at Barca, the late goal at Burnley, Winks's winner at Fulham, the two late goals this week to beat Watford. This group just seems to find a way to win. It's certainly not guaranteed that they finish top 4, but with only CL and PL to worry about, I think they can do it. Heck, perhaps this injury gives Kane a little rest and he comes back even better (way too optimistic, I know).

The main worry for the summer is that we've all been here before and heard the same things - big plans, etc. We shall see. If it doesn't happen this summer, with the stadium done and with hopefully a fourth straight season of CL football, then I think it's pretty clear that ENIC is indeed only worried about profit. There can be no argument if there is no investment this summer.

I really don't think it will take that much either. My ideal summer would be bringing in an Isco-type for 60-70 mill, a young CM like N'Dombele for 50-60 mill, Berge as a young DM for 30 mill, and perhaps a young LB to develop for 20-25 mil. Move Dier to CB as Foyth, Jan, Davinson, and Dier is a solid group of CBs. Sell Toby if you have, maybe Trips or Aurier, maybe Lamela, Wanyama. Hopefully not Eriksen. That group of sales probably gets you 75 mill. IF you can do that, your total outlay is probably around 100-120 mill and you have a team that can win the title. But it does require investment and we'll have to see if that actually happens.

Dembele gone. Toby and Eriksen to follow. Replacing these before then trying to improve squad. What a mess this place will be in the summer. We can’t even sign one player.

I don't know why the disappointment when it was patently obvious we were going to do fuck all in terms of incomings.

The merits (or lack of) are and will continued to be debated but this was the first transfer deadline day where I had little to no interest of keeping tabs of proceedings with us.

Only good thing is how pathetic it's made of Sky Sports/Jim White with such a dismal deadline day...

Not that disappointed we didn't sign anyone, players that can really improve us (and not just potential) are generally not available and if they are there's usually a premium. Glad we didn't panic buy.

Saying that, summer is going to be interesting, we are going to need a bit of a rebuild.

I feel like this was always the plan. You don't go two transfer windows without signing anyone unless it was on purpose.

And for Poch system (if he stays) it's really important to get players early ASAP to adapt to high press and his system. Even if we perfectly scout and sign replacements next season it will be tough because too many players will still be adjusting and trying to gel with each other. Or maybe the plan is to never sign anyone and run with this team until everyone leaves on Bosman.

We couldn’t sign Jack Grealish in summer. Cant wait to see us try to freshen the squad up this summer. Poch would need to update, expand his list!

I think there's roughly zero chance of us going from a zero net spend to well over £130m in one summer. Everyone will be more expensive, and we won't be the only ones shopping.

What I can see happening is Eriksen being sold and is suddenly spending that money.

Scout players? Mate why would we even have scouts, waste of money!?
