Bit concerned by the Lo Celso news, hopefully they go out of Copa America and no other team comes close to offering what we do.

Still find it incredible that we're apparently so keen to move Toby on. He should be the lynchpin of our defence for the next 3 years while we look for our long term Jan replacement.

If he'd signed the contract offered he would have been!

It does still seem a little petty to me wanting him out so badly as he is first choice alongside a Vertonghen at present and would be one less area to worry about strengthening.

It has been alluded something else has gone down aside from refusing the contract but if all it is was that Poch is pissed because he put neck out for him sometimes you have to forgive and let it go...

If we don't get GLC then I honestly don't think we get another AMC this window. There's not really anyone else at a similar skill level and potential available in football right now without paying gazillions.

It did seem too good to be true didn't it, fingers crossed we can get it over the line.

Maybe we want Toby gone as he wont sign a new contract and we would get a return for him.....plus it would free up wages for a replacement.
If we keep him for another year, then he will go on a free next season and we will then be looking for a replacement anyway.

I hope I’m not getting it wrong but it seems like we went from a sort-of positive mood for GLC and Sess (per Herc’s earlier 3 targets+15m youngster ITK) to an uncertain position, which is a matter for concern even though the CE and Ndombele news is great.

Sort of disappointed that the club is still pushing Toby, was hoping that it’d all be water under the bridge. I wonder if we have any definite and ready targets in the wings at least if Poch seems so determined in that course of action.

Feel the push out of Toby is more on Levy's end to get at least some money from it, and Poch is not fighting to keep him.

Familiar pattern to last summers transfer window.

I think that's a bit of a shout personally. What about Bruno?

If we have bid the highest for GLC and he wants to come, then you can't blame Levy for anything. It is certainly Betis's right to hold onto him if they don't like the bid. But if no one else comes in, maybe we will get lucky and they will sell and we can get him at a decent price.

If Eriksen stays and N'Dombele comes in, we will certainly be stronger next year. I think we all kind of assumed CE would be gone so that's a big plus.

Wouldn't mind him but he's not at GLC's level an would cost about the same. HG makes it a bit more enticing but I think we'd see him as too expensive
I suppose we don't know what we have actually offered for GLC but I would have thought we could get Brooks for no more than £60 million or maybe less if one of our numerous excess players was included going the other way

So much ITK about our desire to move Toby on, but few links to CBs.

I'd be content to move Dier back to CB full time, his skill on the ball and athleticism is incredible for a CB where it's just above average as a CM. Still, doesn't seem like he wants that and if so I wish we were linked to more CBs besides Andersen.

You do realise Aurier is only 3 years younger than Rose and Walker. 3 years ago Rose and Walker were absolutely tearing it up, they weren't potential.
Sorry, you have had a mare there.

He probably meant at KWPs age, but typed Aurier by mistake.

The talk is, we are prepared to pay a realistic fee for the RB that meets Poch’s criteria, but forget even spending some of the figures mooted we would ‘have to pay’. Trippier has a lot of interest from suitors, and whilst we would ‘listen’ to offers for Aurier, my personal take on him, is I wouldn’t be surprised if he is still here.

KWP is the interesting one, because Poch really likes him and his attitude, and pre-season will be key subject to formation experiments we will be introducing. It is possible we see if we have the answers within to solve the RB issues.

The ongoing chase of GLC, is down to us will NOT pay 70m plus for him. And the funny thing is, we are the only ones to of bid a extremely good offer thus far. The player by all accounts is very keen, and it may be down to him pushing for it. We do have other options in that department. And the potential conclusion of NDombele, will not deter another offensive creative midfield acquisition, if it is not to be GLC.

The Toby situation is very interesting, because we want him shifted, and if he goes we will bring in.

We are relaxed on the striker-front, and will deal in that area, but not seen as the high priority, Sess, MDombele and GLC. If we cannot deal on GLC, there will be another. Those are our target areas.

The third GK, is a weird one, as I don’t rate Alfie Whiteman, so possible movement in/out in that department. Do not rule anything out, even a loan. That is why it is a funny one.

Talk within is CE has agreed 4 year deal, with realistic clauses, but he wants to wait until pre-season to see if his option/s resurface. If not he commits.
Parrett is highly regarded

Typical Poch not wanting to get new players in until after pre-season has started :cautious:

Madness! Are we offering Llorente a new deal then?
