Thanks Herc.

So basically players won't necessarily be in in time for preseason.
That isn’t what he said.
We have three main targets, that is not dependent on CE staying, though the likelihood is he is likely to commit to a new contract. Anyway, the three targets is not dependent on balancing the books. If all three was given ALL CLEAR-we would conclude those deals, and then add a youngster for under 15m. After that we could only trade after we sell. If we don’t sell, I doubt we would do business until the near end of TW.

So please friends, stop speculating on some of them e bs in the press! COYS!!!
Reads to me like anything after the bulk of our business, the stuff that is dependent on sale, is likely to be after we come back for pre season. If they aren’t main targets, it’s unlikely they’re going to be expected to be part of the XI against Villa anyway.

I'd be stunned if we got those 3 and kept Eriksen, but that is the kind of strengthening we need to really challenge.

I honestly think it’s not workable. Financially, I just can’t see that Levy would change so dramatically after a significant cost over run on a stadium.

At this time of the closed season the info that come out of the club is always (and inevitably) is a little all over the place. It’s by no means surprising with all the rumours going round. Last summer we heard we’d had a bid accepted for Zaha etc, that didn’t turn out. It happens. I always use that as context when considering the likelihood of massive transfers without the prospect of balancing the books.

It’s super exciting and Herc, massive thanks as ever, but I just won’t let myself get excited because I just don’t see it given what we’ve seen in past windows.

I think everyone’s clear on the three in theory though right? Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sess...and maybe Aarons or Clarke.

To get them and keep Eriksen would be monumental. A proper game changer.

But like I say, because of that, I think it’s unlikely. More’s the pity.

It’s going to be a long summer

Does explain why we seem pushing hard for Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon so early. Great news if true, as well as Eriksen potentially staying.

I assumed it was a case of sell to buy at RB all along, good news is there should be plenty of interest in Trippier.

You do wonder if one of Eriksen’s conditions on a new deal is “show me your ambition”. Perhaps the signings of Tanguy, and Lo Celso may show CE we mean business - hence the new commitment

Our revenue will likely sky rocket ahead of the coming season because of the stadium and I think it’s highly probably that Levy sees it as a net outlay that will be recouped during the season by season tickets, match day tickets and Champions league to name a few.
It also looks likely that we’ll be getting a big name deal for the stadium soon so I definitely think that the money is there for the right targets.

True enough, but we're going to turn the corner with transfers at some point in the future.

I mean, there were plenty of times over the last 20 years where we all thought we'd never finish in the top-6, let alone finishing there ten seasons in a row.

Or qualify for the Champions League four seasons in a row.

Spurs in a Champions League final? Forget it, pal!

So things eventually change...

...but I get your cautionary approach.

Thanks Herc, this is glorious news indeed.

Oh how I want to see those so called pundits on TV squirm after them telling anyone who’d listen that we couldn’t afford a rusty spoon unless we sold and even then it’d be peanuts.

COYS !! ?

That’s good news about the targets. But hard to get overly excited as we have a long and lurid track record of buggering these things up. I’d like to believe it’ll be different this summer, but I’m not holding my breath.

The best piece of news is about Eriksen. If he signs a new contract that would be brilliant. I’m sorry for him on a personal level that he may not get his dream move, but as a Spurs fan I’d be delighted if he stayed. Moreover I’d love to see a focused and rejuvenated Eriksen next season. He’s had a decent year, but at times he was more erratic than in previous campaigns. I wonder if he was distracted by what ifs.

The next month will tell us all we want to know about where we are as a club.

It is good news though

If we can get these deals over the line AND resign Eriksen, we'll be cooking on gas for next season!

The so called reported £150m spend/budget before any sales would fall into Herc's ITK if the 3 players targeted without having to selling any others are two midfielders in the region of £50m-£60m and a left sided player for around £25m - £30m

If Hercules is hinting at Sessegnon being one of the three then I guess we aren't doing a double deal for both brothers.
