Losing Trippier and Rose in one window, as all ITK and reports suggest, and buying the Sessegnon brothers to replace them may mean our fullbacks are improved - but in about 2 years... It is weakening us in the short term though.

That is the same in regards selling Eriksen, as ITK suggests, and purchasing a Ceballos or GLC - it might be getting talented malleable players in that could fantastic in a year or two - but it wouldnt count as an improvement next season on CE.

It's also the same as losing Alderweireld - Sanchez, Foyth and perhaps Saliba are all exceptionally talented young defenders. But none replace Tobys quality in the next 18 months.

Ndombele aside, I am not getting the feeling that our first 11 is improving at all this window based on the ITK that we've had. Not that I am against buying high potential players for the future, obviously. But there has to be a blend.

Just guessing here but we are probably not going to pay more for GLC that they did for Ndombele. I'd guess we offered about the same to Betis as we did to Lyon and since Herc says no one else has come close to our offer, Levy is playing the waiting game trying to force their hand.

I'd be a lot more worried if Ndombele wasnt signed, but he is and will make the most difference. If JJ and Herc are positive, no real reason to be worried.

From what's been a positive summer this seems more like Tottenham. To buy one we have to sell X player etc.
Still we got to the final in CL...


I understand we wojt spend 75m on GLC (I dont even knew who he was ) but it sound weird if we dont have a plan B (maybe we do I?)

But first itk was like we buy ndomele and glc even if eriksen stay. Now it all depends on Jansen and nkodu....

I know ITKs are not noted for their use of English language, but the first line of Dragon's info could be read that Sessegnons AND Ceballos could go to Arsenal. A full stop (rather than a comma) after the Fulham twins would change the meaning.
