So we are looking to ship out 3 out of our 4 starting back 4. All senior dressing room figures.

I'm glad JJ is opimistic. I can't help feeling a little worried tbh.
I hear you but we'd still have Jan, Hugo, Kane who are all massively influential. Then the likes of Dier and Alli, despite their age are pretty big characters around. Sissoko seems to be more centred too. Sanchez is experienced despite his age. We were pushing for the title in Poch's second season when a lot of the squad were 25 and under, so I don't think it'll be too problematic.

Anyway, let's hope we gets some news of incomings and replacements of those outgoings over the next few days.

This is going to sound like a massive ****tease but several of our ITKs told us about Trips and Rose several days ago and have been keeping us updated but were told absolutely not to make it public.

I know that's frustrating and sounds like revisionist bull**** but it is true. That's the main reason the ITK thread has been empty for a few days, everyone was sitting waiting for this news to break so they could start talking again!
I'm complaining to Vicks about this bullshit behaviour of yours

There is no way we will sell Trippier and Rose. Pochettino likes Rose and he was one of our better performers last year. Sorry to disagree with the ITK's but I fully expect Rose to sign a new contract.
It’s not just ITKs mate - it’s been pretty widely reported that Rose hasn’t been training with us, and isn’t going on the pre-season tour.

Why would they want to keep that quiet? What's so special about not mentioning anything about Rose or Trippier happening? Not on a wind up, genuinely interested..

With absolutely nothing about it in the press it would probably point a bit too directly at where the info came from.

Losing DR won't be a big mistake. He was fantastic for a couple of seasons but those days are gone. He's still good, and very determined, but that's all.
I'm not sure what else you'd hope for. Very good and very very determined?

I guess this is what Poch was referring to when he said the rebuilding process would be painful or whatever.

Selling our two first-choice full backs would be deep surgery on the squad, and a risky move, but also probably the right one.

No doubt replacements are already lined up.

I'm getting nervous, Rose, Trippier, alderweireld and Eriksen all potentially leaving is massive. Levy is going to have a lot to do in the next 3 weeks

But what if we have someone more long term lined up? Sessegnon, appears to be the likely incoming.
Exactly this. I'm not surprised by the ITK. Can see why Poch doesn't want to start a new 5 year plan with a starting back 4 of 28/29/30/32 year olds.

Interesting that all the ITKs have been deliberately keeping things quiet. There must be more to that than just Trippier and Rose leaving. It sounds like the replacements are being lined up, but the names might not be out in the media yet.

We’ve been told before, by JJ I think, that our targets are those mentioned in the media by and large.

Exactly this. Ndombele, Clarke, Sess, lo Celso, Ceballos etc are all between 18-22 which screams out what the plan is.
The players on the move are all older, so won't be at their peak in 5 years, plus they might not fancy being part of a re-build. At their ages they probably want to be in established teams rather than wait another 2 or 3.
