Don’t watch his highlights reel... 21 goals and all but 2 of them resulted from poor defending, poor keeping or bundling the ball in the net.

He’d be a very strange signing as I don’t seeing anything to suggest he’s good enough to make the step up to the EPL, never mind playing for a top 4 club. Zero excitement factor with this one.

Totally agree. Far from being positive, it would just show the level we’re aiming at.

This guy looks, potentially, a premiership player. But below what we need.

If we wanted to spend that money on a champ player, we should have bought (1) Maddison or (2) Grealish.

This is not encouraging. I also question the accuracy give No poch’s comments

Dele was already being talked about as a phenomenon if I recall correctly? Following his near 1-in-2 from midfield season for MK Dons and capped with that starring role against Utd.

Bowen looks robust and a good dribbler though. Wonder how much he's going for in a world where Grealish was valued at 40m.

Better stats than grealish in a worse team.

woohooo
something to get excited about.
I really hope this comes off and that it is one Poch wants- Us backing him in this window should be our main target and whoever he and his support team deem acceptable we should try to get

Might be alone in this but I don't think he'll actually add anything to the squad which we don't have, if he wasn't HG this would be a N'Koudou type signing
Imagine N'Koudou in the Championship. Would he be pulling up these numbers?
These are the type of deals that could be very beneficial to the team in the long run. Especially when we have Poch at the helm.

Hoover up the English talent I say.

Lastly, if it doesn't work out they won't be difficult to offload as ALL clubs in England will be familiar with them.

Personally I don't have a problem with this kind of signing as long as it does not mean:
1. we go out and spend in excess of £15 million
2. and is an Nkoudou replacement.

That way we still have money for more established players and open up a non-homegrown spot.

I think he is worth the risk, more than Grealish. And I actually believe he is better than Maddison.
Without trying to derail the thread I do think Grealish has been damaged from the move that never materialised, it was absolutely the right time for him to move. I guess we may never know but I'd like to think we are still interested.

Having said that, hopefully Bowden proves to be a good choice.

“We need to buy in potential, as we can’t afford the finished article “
“We need homegrown players”

ITK says Bowen is possible

“Not him, someone else...”

Didn’t Hull make a statement recently saying he wouldn’t be sold?

I remember Sky reporting it and thinking “well, Levy has definitely been in contact then”

Looks good to me and that's before Poch gets to unlock him further.

Not averse to the signing of Bowen but strikes me as a signing for next season, however we need someone for this. Someone who might be able to challenge for a 1st team spot immediately with central mid being the most glaring weakness. Seems relatively quiet on this front.

I'm sorry, I just don't get buying Brown at all. We are so stacked with wing forwards. If we really wanted to add a player to our attacking wing selection then why not give Edwards the odd sub appearance in cups for half a season and at least give him a shot before selling him if he hasn't got the attitude/work ethic. If he was a striker I would be all for it but as a winger...

As a player, I can't really comment as I have only seen clips although to me he looks really unremarkable. But I don't put my faith in YouTube so I will withhold judgment. But really, when everyone is fit would he even make the bench. We need so many other positions and don't seem to be rolling in cash so why spend it on the one position we don't really need reinforcements for?
