This rule can be very easily abused then. We could still negotiate with Villa for JG but both decide to submit paperwork just in case if we agree the next day maybe. And if not, simply call it off at FA.

No because all the details of the deal (financially) between the two clubs have to be disclosed.

Exactly this. Documentation can be created instantly after entering a few variables. All pretty standard software these days. And with emails and technology now, comms can be done in seconds. That is... unless...

We've not got rid of the fax machine yet?
Much is actually done over whatsapp these days for simplicity of communication amongst multiple parties.

Saying that, try coming to a simple decision on arranging for a day and place to go eat amongst a group of you. Now amplify that by 1000 trying to negotiate a transfer. There's always that one that you know has seen the message but never replies so you can't actually commit. That's our Levy.

I knew we'd be saying "we tried" at the end of the window, but I didn't think it'd be in relation to signing Grealish :X3:

ran out of time will be a common theme too, how we find ourselves in this situation without a single signing to our name going into deadline day i do not know

Thanks. Makes it harder then but I believe some (not at top level) still make it somehow.

We wouldn't be able to just walk away from the deal because we changed our minds.

Everything has been agreed.

City tried to do that when we got Corluka off them. They then didn't want to sell and we still got him

I agree. The party 'changing their mind' would be open to legal challenge if contract was signed'. Even if it was subject to...

Christ, the itk all suggesting things will go to the wire but with no obviously predictable outcome currently.
I’ve been shitting dolphins all day with anxiety; what state my arse in 24 hours?

Yes it was. It broke at 5.59pm (deadline at 6pm) that we had an agreement for VDV. Then it was an anxious wait to see if it had gone through.

We all put the word 'ratified' to good use that day. Some had never used it before in their lives. What a day it was to be alive!

This place went from buzzing early on to depressed now.

I'm giving it an hour or two before we get ITK that has us all positive for another 2-3 hours

The day is almost over, and barring an igijedi post, I doubt anything will happen today. I honestly think at this point, given that ITK info is a bit behind what's actually happening at the club, it's a 24 hour waiting game.
