Medical rarely happens until clubs agree on fee, so it didn't sound right yesterday that we were still £7million apart.

They only thing I'm ITK on is that this whole early window closing thing as been a giant strain for the entirety of the league. We're struggling to get deals over the line but I think we should bear in mind, everyone else seems to be too.

Looking at the itk from all summer the early window has changed the market completely. Tomorrow could be bonkers throughout the entire league.

This is not supposed to be patronising, and we always appreciate the info, but sometimes Herc's posts are hard to understand.

I read it as this, although I could be completely wrong. We have 3 options we're working on. One good one, one bad (pretty average) and one ugly (probably very average).

We were confident on Grealish, but we're not sure now.

Lets see who the signings are. One of them would = a meltdown on here.

I´m thinking one of these three things might be a player sold rather than signed? For example Toby to Man U without Martial the other way = ugly/meltdown?

Thing is, if the only business we did was get a seriously talented CM like Kovacic i would be very happy with only getting one. But he seems like he's off to Chelsea and we seem to be rolling around in the mud with Villa over Grealish. We seem to be in a serious mess of our own making. I would be happy only getting one player if he was serious quality.

What's most worrying is that there's 25 hours to go and there's still not been a peep in the media regarding movement (in or out) for anyone other than Grealish.

Jack Grealish, as correctly stated by GF. has gone absolutely BALLISTIC!!! The owners have gone back on their word! He is livid!!!

We have said if deal not done now, we will not deal again. He is massively PISSED!

He has made his feelings known to Steve Bruce. Clubs can’t treat players like slaves

I don’t understand how their owners think this is the best way to go about it. Most Villa fans are accepting of this move as its genuine progression, it’s not like a mid table prem team have come in for him, we’re genuine title contenders and in the CL. The rest of the team probably wouldn’t be upset if he left as the majority of them would’ve been in the same situation as Grealish at some point and wanted to take a step up in their careers. I think £25m is fair, or maybe do a deal which is highly incentivised based on our/his success at Spurs

Apparent bid for Dembele (our) accepted. 2 maybe at a push 3 in, but Grealish, who was one of the 2 seems to have died (again) - Villa now saying he is now not for sale.

Would have been a LOT more confident of a 2nd signing if Grealish could have been wrapped up today. Seems a stretch now with 25 hours or so left and nothing else breaking.

Oh well not long to wait and know for sure now.
