I'm assuming all the ITK is in the read only so I don't have to wade through 24 pages of shit?

Couple of tidbits (mostly opinions) from Herc and Trix haven't gone in, but you can find those easily enough by looking through their recents. Nothing of note from anyone else.

the only thing that I'm thinking, why DL has to sell toby to united is only martial leverage; if that aint goin to fly, we can wait later in the \aug window foreign club will except offer if we want to get rid, and fuck united

Grealish kicking off with Villa now, apparently was promised he could go if 25m bid came in.
Just one more thing while I'm here, we didn't buy him earlier because the new owners during negotiations to buy the club insisted, so please stop bleating on about "we should have bought him weeks ago" ffs

Thanks big guy, yeah for all the talk of Levy dicking about, it seems Villa's owners are the only one's to do that on this deal.

I’m predicting this is a ploy by villa to make it look like they were tough bastards and held their ground + make it look like Grealish forced them to sell him.

Then the fee will be undisclosed probs near £25mill + add ons anyway

Intriguing.

Well, that all suggests a Grealish transfer request, Villa "having their hand forced" and all parties ending up happy enough.

Plus SSN get more of those delicious clicks/views.

Thanks, @Grey Fox, I'm pretty sure we were told at the time that it wasn't anything to do with us that the deal didn't go ahead, so good to be reminded of that before it kicks off (again) in here.

Same. I'd just much prefer this to get done today rather than having to go into tomorrow empty!

I'm still hoping the bald bastard can pull a VDV out of the hat in the next day. It's always the hope that kills you...

Thank you. Solicitors will be involved I am sure.

I think you're spot on and that's such a shit thing to do to Grealish, he's a Villa fan and his club putting him in that position leaves a really bad taste in the mouth

Thanks Grey fox as always. Must’ve been who igi was alluding to as well last night with the one pretty much done. Guess we’ve offered that and now villa moved goal posts which is ironic.

Interesting to see about why we haven’t moved before so maybe he is higher up poch’s wish list than we thought rather than a keep it for late deal.

I'm still fairly confident we'll sign Grealish. I just hope we don't waste too much time on it and miss out on other, more important potential deals (yeah, I know that's not how transfers work, but in my primitive mind it is).

Personally, I hope we've already approached United with an offer for Martial, including Toby plus cash and leave it open until the window closes - see if they get desperate tomorrow. More likely I think we'll just sell Toby for £50m and probably make a last minute bid for someone like Lascelles.

I'm still intrigued by who the mystery 2nd player is that ITK has alluded to. It seems to be Grealish +1 + maybe Martial.

I know most disagree but I'm just as indifferent about signing Grealish now as I was when we first got linked so not really fussed if he comes or goes. Saying that, the saga around him has been something else.

They ain't gonna get very far with that. They have to sell, and every Villa fan knows it. They were clearly hoping that another buyer might come into play, but it looks like we are the only interested party.
