Did we ever get the cryptic solutions? Timing wise would make sense that Grealish was one of them.

Would be interesting if there's still stuff under wraps.

A&C said they will tell us the answers when they're able to.

Lloris breaks his leg opening game. Gathe liza our only goalkeeper apart from youth?
That's the same with practically any position on the pitch. You can't bring players in to be a backup for the backup - that's the kind of thing that young player should be doing, or else there'd never be opportunities for them.

The ITK is generally pointing towards incomings in midfield at the moment, but I can only imagine that they are going to be replacements rather than additions - or at least you'd think so, otherwise we're going to be leaving numerous lads off the 23 man list.

Hey peeps! Because I give out play by play info, you should not translate that as I am ‘optimistic’. Especially my last post on Europe don’t have our money etc, and Daniel knows it. Just telling it as it is. Our formation will surprise a lot of how we will end up playing. Once these signings happen, do not try to work it out. It will all make sense, once the window closes.

Poch is in agreement with all. Media not far off the mark tbvh. Louds of pegs in the basket. We just have to take our pick carefully.

Our focus as I have been saying is advanced midfield-forwards. CH, we are not overly fussed, whilst Lgit is our prority. That deal??? Or similar, would only happen after Toby is sold. And that is if he is sold.

Everywhere else on the pitch we can shift players. Kane playing in goal didn't go so well.

I wonder if we are going to get announcements in the next couple of days on the new contracts we had ITK on for Kane, Dele and Eriksen? I say this because the England team have released players to go back home for a couple of days so it is the ideal time to make announcements before the WC starts

Like the 'if' bit with Toby. Just keep him and press on elsewhere. (Aware very much easier said than done)

We left out Lamela because he had two hip replacements and there was no guarantee he would be fit in time for the CL campaign
And then left N’Koudou out when Lamela was fit again. We maxed out our non-HG places last season and will need to move people about this season to have the right squad. One (or two) of the three keepers being HG would really help!

It's gonna be the 2-1-7 we have always dreamed of isn't it? :watching:

I remember when Ossie was manager and the Times used to show formations in their match reports. One week they showed us as '5-0-5' and the next week they showed us as '10'.

EDIT: just beaten to it by Lilbaz.

I wish our focus was on CMF rather than advanced midfield forwards as Hercules says.

I guess we have Winks coming back but if we’re looking to sell Dembele I would’ve thought priority number 1 would be a deep lying playmaker/box to box type.

My dad (rip) wanted him to be given more time. Forget we were 17th in the league.
Fantastic games though.

433 or 352

Either way, I think it will help our attack - and we will not need Dembele's muscle in the CM slot.

Before Herc's latest piece of ITK, I would be in agreement with you, but I think part of his point is to not consider signings within the previous formations we're used to. Between Winks/Dier/Wanyama we aren't without a CM, especially if we're not playing 2-3 classic CMs in a new formation. Not that we aren't looking at CMs, but in terms of priority.

Herc, feel free to correct if wrong, and thanks for your consistent snippets.

I'd say we will look more like Man City or Liverpool or even RM or Barça with CMs who can pass better than Dembele.

You’re telling me there’s a chance Toby stays?!?!?:woot:
