I see the lines are already blurring...
FWIW from all the sources i've been following (ok; twitter people that i've got some faith in) I was under the impression that the Moutinho boat had long sailed (PSG in the summer?), Eriksen only wants to go to one of the Spanish giants (wants/gets being different).
Willian's value can only have gone up since his sterling CL performances; ditto Isco. Surely GIANT CLUBS are more likely here...
So as ever TO MY NON ITK MIND it looks like we've missed the boat with a few classy types and young talents.
Then there's the usual parade of young British talent, ie. Ince, Zaha that we are surely at best, outsiders of 5 or 6 to get.
Sure, things change but anyone expecting Willian and Moutinho with a side order of Leandro Damaio and a Falcao / Llorente platter...
And so it goes...
The answer is to scout players properly and then act. Yes the boat may have sailed on Moutinho and Willian but there are alternatives. In the playmaker role we could look to Benat or Classie. Upfront we could realistically have a shot at Aubameyang or Doumbia. As to the creative player between the lines surely we could pick a number 10 from almost any club in La Liga, Valencia are still in financial trouble and the reality is bar Real and Barca so are most other La Liga clubs, just witness the price Swansea paid for Michu. The key is proper scouting but that seems sadly lacking at Spurs.
