it's hard to bite my tongue here cause this sounds like a load of bollocks that Ali Z has been told. no way we don't take that deal if it's true utd are trying to include him in the deal.

Also... it didn’t say, we don’t want martial so that we can register NKd and Janssen, it was pointing out that as it stands already they aren’t going to be registered, so adding more non HG players would mean that more would miss out

Well we wouldn’t be adding more as Toby would be gone, it’s 1 for 1. There has to be more to this ITK, as I cannot imagine turning down Martial.

Grealish is not first choice - per JJ.

The assumption is that first choice is a non-HG player who we are still hoping to bring in.

That being the case, we cannot afford to bring in other non-HG players.

Pinch of salt and all that. Calm down - when it sounds to good to be true it usually is. United trying to "force" Martial to us definitely goes in that category.

Hahaha finally the chance to sign Martial and we're not gonna bother because we don't want to fuck off Nkoudou and Janssen for cheap

Madness, fuck this window

If true, this is not on poch, it's levy telling poch to choose, because of the size of the budget. We can shift surplus non HG players, but levy will take a beating doing so, and that eats into our overall budget.

So no Martial due to registration issues yet we're looking at a Croat forward? Makes absolutely no sense. a of clubs are struggling to freshen things up. We'll get clubs to take a punt on our unwanted before Thursday.

We've come this far in a few years through good management. I'm still confident we'll address our issues.

If this info is legit I'm done. If you have the option to take Martial with 4 days left you absolutely have to do it.

Also makes a statement and turns the Toby deal around if we drag Martial the other way.

Obviously hard to judge fully without knowing the CM option involved, but they are gonna have to be an absolute worldy in this case.

Time to risk getting bent over on the deadwood and learn some lessons the hard way.

Whoever is feeding this info through must just be doing it to have a laugh at all of us losing our shit. No other explanation for such insanity.

Quality isn’t it! Donna sat in her office ‘let’s tell them we can get Martial but don’t want him because it might upset Kevin’

Utterly confusing to me bud. I keep seeing "Early close to window puts us in a situation". Why does this have to be? Can we still sell to European clubs after ours shuts.
We can but we will have zero leverage to make a deal. The players we are trying to offload are not highly sought after, so it’s doubtful we can put teams against each other and drive the prices up. That means we are dealin with one club who, who knows we have to sell bc these players aren’t registered and won’t play if we don’t.

Right but you can see my point? We had the ability to close Grealish for some time, decided not to and now we can't get Martial because we have other non-hg priorities? Where is the sense in that? It would have to be a mega star to justify this.

That is not the case - nor has anyone said that was the case.

Neither GKN or Janssen will be registered - and if we sign 1 non-HG player, we are still above our HG limit for CL.

I think we were expecting to move several non-HG players this summer, but the market for those players - Dembele, Sissoko, Llorente, et al. has not developed, and we are probably not confident of moving them even after the deadline. Don't forget, players have to agree to the deal also...

I'd be amazed if we passed on Martial for any other reason than that the financials were beyond us.

Just feels like excuse after excuse especially when we could have closed on Grealish. What player could we possibly get which outweighs getting in both Grealish and Martial. It's a farce and inconsistent.

Thanks Triks!
Hopefully we can pull this off! Very interesting that he hasn’t travelled with the squad today as well must be close!

As frustrated as I am, I take this ITK in a positive light. United are apparently willing to add Martial in so we just need to go through with it now. Succeed or crumble.
