This cryptic thing is easy:

Dee (DL) has said well, ain't we a pair, Raggedy Man (Perez). Annoyed, he (Perez) tossed it.

Perez approached DL to make an inquiry about Eriksen. DL reminded Perez after the last time they negotiated (Bale) and Perez decided shelve the idea.

Where do I collect my prize?

Dee = Levy
Raggedy Man = Madrid

Levy has said he wants two players in exchange for Eriksen, presumably something ridiculous like Asensio and Ceballos ("Two men enter, one man leaves"). Madrid was annoyed at this and told him to stick his bald head where el sol no brilla.

With Rob saying that people overestimate the Goat's (the hairy ****) cryptics often, and knowing that the Goat's bleats are often "The Goat has heard that..."

I think Occam's Razor would say:

Dee has said well, ain't we a pair, Raggedy Man. Annoyed, he tossed it.
Daniel Levy has said, "We've been here before, Real Madrid, you and I. We're quite a pair (special relationship, :ROFLMAO:)." Annoyed with recent negotiations with potentially RM's bid for Eriksen, or even contract negotiations with Eriksen himself, he (Levy) tossed it (rejected RM's latest bid or has resigned to letting Eriksen go).

That's my 2c. Could be a bit too obvious, but with recent ITK and media reports saying that Eriksen is open to negotiations/no one has come in for him yet, this may be from the Goat a new/different piece of ITK saying RM are trying to pry him away.

But in my mind, maybe it lines up with Herc saying people don't want to play poker with Levy because he won't blink first. And RM know that.
Like your thinking on that. It’s either Eriksen is going to Madrid or signing a new contract: D(aniel) is saying ‘take it or leave’. Or, we’ve been offered a loan deal for bale on levy’s terms..
I dunno. ?I think I’m a bit on the spectrum as I love the cryptic but want it answered (immediately) at the same time ... like a bad tooth I keep going back to prod it

My guess from left field is that we've made a bid for both the Diaz's at Real Madrid and had the bid(s) rejected.

But why would we need cryptic ITK for that? Surely to go to the lengths to give cryptic ITK the speculation must be positive?

And then I went for a two hour walk and have only just come back to my computer... :cautious:

To be fair, though, I think a lot of people have already got it.

As far as I can ascertain, and in line with previous guesses, we're after both the players called Diaz at Real.

As others have noted, if you say 'Diaz', you get 'Dee has' said.

'Well, ain't we a pair, Raggedy Man' means we're talking two players called Diaz and Raggedy Man is capitalised to get us thinking along the lines of Real Madrid, which is then reinforced by 'Annoyed' (Mad) and 'He tossed it' (Rid).

Hence Brahim Diaz and Mariano Diaz.

The Mad Max reference threw me for a bit, but I can't get Aarons or Gomez from any other parts of the clue, so I guess we're just waiting for Dr Dealgood to turn up at Florentino's house and say 'Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, buying time's here'.

That's my take, anyway. Although I may have a Scrooloose...

Brahim Diaz would be a phenomenal signing! One of the best young players in the world but I can't see RM letting him go.

If it is a Diaz it’s more than likely Mariano

I'd expect it to be Mariano but if the cryptic analysis is correct that we are talking to both that would be up there with Tanguy long term. Brahim Diaz, Ndombele and Lo Celso and we would be set up incredibly.

Pep wanted to keep him and couldn't due to game time. I believe Brahim Diaz would count at HG as well.

Real went out and said a couple a months ago that they only want to loan him out though. They probably want him for the future..
