One thing all you Negative Nellies have oh so conveniently overlooked is that when we signed Wimmer he was our 5th choice centre back.

Since then, he has overtaken Fazio to become 4th choice centre back. And with Dier playing in midfield, you could even say he is our 3rd choice centre-back.

So, my glass-half-empty-wheres-my-signing-wah-wah-wah-squeal-bitch-moaning friends. This summer, we have not only signed a new first choice centre back in Toby Alderweireld, we have also signed a new 5th, 4th AND 3rd choice centre back in Kevin Wimmer.

And to think, you people still want more signings. Greedy much? Huh?

Didn't realise there is only 5 days remaining for end of transfer window....Hard to remain patient anymore.

Actually there is even more reason to remain patient. Once the end is approaching all deals will go the distance. It's squeaky bum time, who blinks first etc. The ITK we have had all points towards things going on through this week, hopefully we have enough deals in principle in place to enable swift closure when the time comes.

So no Illaramendi then. Berahino is going to happen; we're just witnessing a poor man's version of the Bale transfer. But who next for CM? We heard a few days ago that the list, like A&C's todger, had lengthened so who is our attention turned to now? I'm fairly certain it ain't someone with the names Jeremy and Clement.

Well we have been repeatedly told that the club is confident on our "backup players".
But they were also confident that £22m would be accepted for SB. back in for a Third bid then according to Mr Fox and the media.

Hope for some good itk today on the situation and next steps - maybe its time for a cryptic to keep us on topic and occupied. That worked well last week @Trix

From hertyid on COYS re adebayor:

Ade contract been written up for WHU is much lower than the Villa one, meaning we must be paying some of his salary for his loan.

Still better than him sitting at home being paid his full wage by us for nothing.

It would absolutely kill me however if his goals kept West Ham up.

Or they are paying us a higher signing on fee. Their need to buy is greater than our need to get rid.

Or maybe that Ade doesn't want as much as he doesn't have to move home or leave London?
I'd want more to live and work in Birmingham.

We have had our current scouting system for at most 8 months. How do you know Alli, Njie or Wimmer won't be "the next superstars"?
I like N'Jie's rawness and Alli oozes potential. Despite some of our concerns as we enter the last few days of the window, lots can still happen and lots already has.

That news on Ade is warming! Hopefully with that (seemingly) near sorted we should be a bit less hesitant in sorting out our other options.

I actually don't care. I kind of want Ade at West Ham. They won't get relegated Ade or no Ade, but with him, maybe the chances are greater for some vital goals vs. big clubs. Go for it, I say.

I don't want to do West Ham any favours at all. Let them pay full whack or no deal. Will be sick if we send Lennon their way too.

I'm cool with Ade going on loan to WHAM. He won't be able to play against us which is the main thing as he would be bound to score if he did. We all know he loves a loan move.

Once that loan is up he will be a free agent, off our books and go where ever the heck he likes.
